huge breaks party tbc

Breakbeats may not have played a huge role in Miami's house music-dominated parties the last couple of years, however, this is about to change! On Sunday March 7th, Thursday Club Recordings (TCR) and Functional Breaks will present 'Breaks Day,' and with the largest line up of breaks specialists planning to attend for WMC 2004, the timing for such an event is perfect...

"With the breakbeat scene growing a lot in the last year, TCR and Funcional Breaks think it warrants need to have its own big showcase. They will stage an event that will help put breakbeat on the map permanently." says Pippa of TCR.

"The Breaks scene has been going strong in the US for years - particularly in Florida. It dipped for a while but seems to be picking back up again now which is a good thing."

The line-up includes TCR's founding father Rennie Pilgrem, Freq Nasty, Stanton Warriors, Lee Coombs, Hyper, Icey, Adam Freeland, Phil K, James Zabiela and Soul of Man. The event will take place at a secret venue to be revealed on the Breaks Day website the 15th of February.

So you like the breaks????????

Nice to know because this guy was raised on them but notices that Miami lacks them. At least intelligent sounding breaks.

I personally can't wait till Momu makes it to Miami.

Bye Jackie
