so I'm going through this 90's phaze, lol...and I need and ID.

was a really popular trak, still is via KTU..mid 90's - female vocal

Here are some snipits of the vocal I can remember

"Stand up, got to got to stand up"

"Throw your hands in the air air air"

"Girl you got to stand up high....high high high. [repeats and gets higher pitched]"

pretty sure there was a club mix of this done too, but I am looking for the original...any help?

Original was a grey cover 1 X12".

A few weeks later the 2 X12" double pack green cover was released. Both on AM:PM.

Alcatraz mix was the one that was played on radio stations so I guess that would be the original.

The original, original from where it was sampled

is Machine - "there but for the grace of god"

but I am sure you all already knew that.

Ah, Kev, thanx for the info. It's amazing how much you learn about a song when you are hunting for an ID. So yea, I got the original Machine sample, but the Alacatraz Mix definitely may be the answer to my quest. I'll check it out when I get home from work.

Thanx!~~
