metafriction Posted August 6 Report Share Posted August 6 They spun at the Tribeca Grand a year or two ago.As for why we've not seen them since... the concept of the mash-up was hot for a while (so much so that the NY Times named it an Idea of the Year) but then quickly became integrated into music-making at large, e.g., the Grey Album.
