I haven't officially read or heard of those DJs having residencies @ Avalon NY. IMO answer is an easy one...those DJs bring a certain amount of "#'s". As long as the #'s keep showing...the same DJs will be booked. It's quite simple.

Would having Roger Sanchez and Scott Project on the same night AT the same club work? Promoters always say you can't mix genre's...but can you? No separate rooms...just one main dance floor. Roger spinning for 3-4 hours, then Scott spinning for 3-4 hours. Let me know your thoughts.

Yooo, I was way stoked about this 2! BUT My friend who works @ Airborne (company throwing the event) said that this ISN'T confirmed yet and may not go down until Friday/ if at all. Something about the executives at Virgin not being able to work out a deal with the record label regarding selling CDs/Vinyl. As soon as I hear ANYTHING i will post. IMO Spirit sucked. Track selection was mediocre. NO ROOM to move. I'm not in the mood to write a long review but I can sum it up for you. 2 MANY SPECTATORS and as for the old Twilo 'vibe' / marketing scheme. get real. spirit sucks.

This goes out to EVERYONE. The deep house fans, the tech heads, DnB junkies, jungle peepz (are jungle people still around) and of course the Trancers... A lot of trance these days can be nothing but chedda. Straight up CHEESE. Annoying synths over and over...BUT, that does not go for all of trance! I really encourage EVERYONE to make it to Shelter on July 9 for DuMonde. They are INSANE! FUCKING INSANE!!!!! I guarantee they have you jumping, screaming, waving your hands in the air. They will make you move! It's simple. DuMonde is God Music. Please don't make a decision about trance until you see DuMonde at Shelter. That is all I ask.

Just confirmed. Airborne has added Lange (aka Sureal, Firewall, LNG) to the lineup for July 9, 2004. For those of you that didn't already know..this means DuMonde (JamX & De Leon) + Lange both at Shelter, playing in the same night. Supporting DuMonde and Lange is Mike Bugout of metromixradio.com and Aaron Wemrock. My friend said set times will go like the following:: Mike Bugout 11p - 1230a Lange 1230a-0430a dumonde 0430a - 0930a Aaron Wemrock 0930a - 11a The Airborne web site says they will post set times a week before. I'd also like to take the time to say I believe this night has the possibility of becoming one of the greatest nights in NYC Trance history. If you really break it down..the only people that really know DuMonde and Lange are DJs, music industry professionals, or really legitimate music lovers. Also, Shelter doesn't have a regular Friday night party - just an amazing house party on Saturdays. To me, that means the people attending this night are the people you'd most want to share it with. I may be rambling, but excited can't even come close to how I feel for this night. rachel, they are being broadcast on the 1st floor, second floor, 3rd floor, rooftop. dumonde is actually spinning on the 3rd floor, however real-time video projections of them spinning will be streamed to every floor. 1st floor is being encapsulated with visuals...almost like a movie theater. will be the siiiickest visuals you have ever seen. 2nds floor is the lounge.
