  1. I've met some really cool people from these club planet message boards but I've yet to see you in real life! Step out behind that monitor and say what's up!!!!! By the way, how can I go about putting my picture on the left hand side column by my posts. Not under my posts, but on the left hand side. <<<<<<------------right here. l8er, dave and if anyone wants to meet up and experience AvB let me know!!!! Don't be bashful now.
  2. p.s....if you need a guest list for Exit Fridays...its Navie..hahahha
  3. Besides the free admission which I never use because you have to be there before 12...is anyone really making decent money? OR Is this just an evil ploy to have me attend meetings where nothing gets accomplished except being treated like RAW MEAT!!! Lets hear them thoughts... l8er, Dave
  4. So many club owners and partners just can't figure out how to keep a profitable and respected club running. Fuck that, none of them can! They are all blinded by the $$$ and not the music. This is not to say money is not important in this industry. All capitalistic ideas involve "Profit and Reward." -But it doesn't have to be only about the money. Music tells a story. It envolves so much energy and passion if used correctly. A club that realizes the potential of music to draw people is a "Heaven". A club where the europhoric atmosphere brings tears to your eyes. A place where you can go to experience the WORLD of music. Taking a mind-trip to different countrys, sampling techniques and style's from various DJs, and feeling ALIVE is what we are all searching for. My names David Navarrete and my company is Navie Promotions. Please E-mail me or IM me (surfer6200@aol.com) if you would like to participate in my dream. I am looking to put on a party about the MUSIC, the ENERGY, the PASSION. Thanks for the read. -Dave
  5. This is strictly my opinion, se leave the bashing to someone else. I believe Exit was doing a great job with the International talent, they actually had potential to blow that club up...Not just in NYC but on a worldwide scale. With the pressure to bring back Draper, the Imagine team has swept into Exit and will inevitably destroy it. No doubt, Draper brings numbers! He plays what people want to hear - when they want to hear it. With Draper comes heavy drugs and "yay-sluts"...accompanying the "yay-sluts" are the meatheads who are looking for some easy prey. All their promotions have positioned to showcase Tony Draper. What does Marivisi (Exit Owner) care about his crowd? He's will make a shit load of money, then move on. People are always moving around in this business, so Exit had a serious dilema. They could work on building the club up with International talent, or say fuck it ~ bring 5,000 heads to the door with one nyc Tony Draper. In essence, it's all money! For those of you who love Draper, you should have a million dollar grin on. You now got Exit and Draper. Eventually, his crowd will turn on him and he'll have nothing. Most likely when "e" changes from the drug of choice. For those of you that desire a certain energy, not associated with drugs - but with style, business, and MUSIC - you will find your club. I believe Roxy has the potential, and I've joined the Roxy team as of late. Feel free to email me if you just wanna talk industry or music: surfer6200@aol.com Later, Dave
  6. I think DJ Theo is great, he always gets me moving. I feel his music takes on more of a progressive style. It molds into trance and filtered house at the exact moment you start craving it! He broadcasts from 92.7 in NYC/NJ/CT l8er, dave
  7. While I'm not a big fan of Tony Draper I do have a certain respect for the following he has. I want to clarify a few comments and suggestions being tossed around about Draper and Exit. Tony Draper will be spinning after-hours, usually 6am and on. This does not mean Exit will be getting rid of the International talent which is currently being showcased. While money is an objective of all nightclubs, Exit is not going to shoot themselves in the foot. The partners are a smart bunch of young guys. Just because you don't like Draper doesn't mean you have to stop going to Exit. Go to Exit, enjoy the International talent and then go home. You will still experience the likes of Max Graham, Ferry Corsten, AvB, Dave Ralph and many live performances. Tony Drapers contract does not call for him to ever spin a set before an International talent has performed. This is a way for Tony to see his music evolve while supporting a crowd that craves his sets. So, here is my answer to you: Go to Exit, and with all the International talent that will continue to be showcased - You will soon have a taste of this industry from a worldwide perspective. THEN Stay for Draper, he might surprise you - or bounce home or to Vinyl. If the crowd is what's bothering you - you live in NYC, learn to tolerate it...and most hardcore Draper fans won't show up until after 5am anyway. L8er, Dave
  8. Scott Project is supposedly spinning from 2-6. Entrance is $30 regular or $25 on a guest list. DJ Theo will be warming the crowd up, and I'm not sure about afterhours. As of the 26th, all afterhours will be done by Tony Draper. Your welcome to use my guest list: NAVIE If you want a VIP card just get back to me so I can meet you somewhere in the club. l8er, dave
  9. After reading the reply's it seems like sticks and strings are a part of the club scene in NYC. Nobody makes you pick-up sticks or ropes, it's a way of expressing yourself in a club filled with thousands. Some dance, some rave, some just get straight fucked up. In response to all the posts, diversity is what makes this city the best fuckin place in the world. So absord the energy and keep clubbin it up! l8er, dave
  10. In my opinion, Tony Draper brings both a crowd and music that is just not enjoyable to EXIT. Obviously, they wanted to satisfy both "crowds." I would much rather feel the energy of Ferry Corsten, Max Graham, AvB, etc.. At the end of the night, I feel like I've traveled somewhere - got something accomplished by listening to the International talent. Draper just brings me nightmares!...His music is kiddie in my opinion. Draper is my childhood fear - CHUCKY the crazy doll!!!!!!
  11. So you're all burnt out from partying and you decide to take a breather...You see these two hot girls. One thinking she's a new recruit for the Ringling Brothers- twirling her sticks and catching them in her mouth. the other equally as attractive, but holding a cranberry and vodka. Whose your pick? Do you dig chicks with sticks?
  12. Is true respect earned from the sticks, or the ropes? I'm personally not great at either, but every car ride up to Exit, I have to deal with the same argument. Also, what colors do the trick for you?
