I have heard that a girls periosd stops in the shower but I didnt know it stopped for 30 min. Does anyone know why a woman will stop bleeding in the shower anyway? weyes Posted August 17 Report Share Posted August 17 this varies from girl to girl, and people keep forgetting that. someone here posted a while ago that a girl automatically stops bleeding when she gets in a bathtub or goes swimming, which is just plain nuts .before i was on the pill, i had a VERY heavy flow and a 7-day period. i took my tampon out before my shower because i wanted to get clean and start all over again, but when i came out of the shower, i'd have blood dripping down my leg already. i don't mean thick blood or anything, it was mixing with the water from my shower, but i sure as hell was bleeding right then - NO window at all. it was only the first few days of my period, though, at least.but now that i'm on the pill, i have what i consider to be a very light flow and a 5-6 day period, and i'm usually only bleeding when i come out of the shower on my first day. if other girls don't bleed at all when they come out of the shower, then i can't imagine what kind of light flow they must have... must be nice .
