Ginobili is the man. Hey how about the bad luck "Fabio" had this past year. Losses his mom, dad, and another family member in one year. Ouch! If anyone deserves a medal....its him. I don't know how I could go on after something like that but this guy plays basketball with alot of intensity. Props to him and Argentina, they played better ball than us.

you can only fault brown so much.......this team cant throw the ball in the ocean much less hit the 3 on a constant basis.......plus there perimeter drfense was horrible........they made everyones guards look like nba hall of famers from 3 point range

I would agree.

we lost, didn't have our best players, and didn't play as well as we could have as a team. congrats to Argentina.. End of story!

c'mon bro u know me. my comment had nothing to do with the color of our players' skin. it has to do with their heart. they got none. nba players nowadays are more concerned with makin millions, gettin shoe deals, and smokin weed. no one respects the game anymore. and this US team stressed that fact. they played like individuals, not a team. everoyne in the NBA just tries to be the next Michael now, except they dont come close

Brown should've let them run and press...then rotate the bench players in...no team could stop that.

That's garbage man...if they cared so much about all of that, they would have NEVER showed up!

If Gymnastics and volleyball players got paid as much as these players, I only hope you would say the same thing if they lost.

well, i think some of them may just wanna use this as another way to promote themselves during free agency...like Allen Iverson. and if gymanstics was supposed to put together a "dream team" and they performed like this, i would be just as upset.

but please at least retract ur statement that i made a racist comment. that was not my intention and never would be. thats not me, not at all

i still cant see what i said thats racist. ive read it over a whole bunch of times and i dont see it. i called the players thugs, but i really dont see that as being racist. "thug" has nothing to do with color of skin, its about attitude. anyone can be a thug, just like u can call someone a fag but u dont mean they are necessarily homosexual

i agree with alot that was said in that article. but i def didnt say all that. whether u believe me or not, my comments did not stem from racism. i dont care if we had a team full of christian laetner, john barry, dirk nowitzki, steve nash, etc... if they played like this id still be just as upset with their effort. the fact of the matter is this team is not made up of our best players. why form a dream team if we're gonna put a bunch of second rate players on it? and yes i understand top players refused to go. but still, refuse to play for our country? c'mon! b/c uve been on an olympic team before, its ok to reject another invitation? i hope shaq is having fun partying in south beach now, instead of helping himself get in shape for the upcoming season and helping this team win a gold medal. and i hope KG, the reigning MVP is enjoying his offseason too, while his peers blew this tournament. tim duncan is the best player on that team but he cant do it on his own. and if iverson played like a true pointguard and was less selfish then maybe they could have moved the ball around more instead of launchin 3's all the time when they didnt have the lead. does anyone on this team know how to penetrate? post up?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that Int'l competition is getting extrremely better.

But a few other things also bothered me:

  • Lack of Integrity

  • Ego

If someone gets invited to partake in something like the Olympic games, and their only reasons for not going are "Im afraid of terrorists", "Im getting married", or "my leg hurts" is plain BULLSHIT! Get your head out of your ass and COME PLAY BALL and REPRESENT YOUR COUNTRY!

  • Lack of talent

Our starting team is immature and not familiar with what it takes to play on a global scale. Look at our first Dream Team: Jordan, Bird, Magic, Mullin, etc... THis one: Odom, Lebron, Wade, etc... Talent and maturity just wasn't there.

So all in all, people shouldn't be that surprised that we lost. Just disgusted...

I don't think Brown is to blame at all. Lack of commitment to defense, inability to hit the mid-range jumper and a team wide (except Duncan) me 1st attitude killed our olympic gold hopes. Guys like Artest (defense) and Brent Barry or Michael Redd (3 point specialists) weren't even invited. We didn't field a bad team, just the wrong team.

cant go into the olympics with a team thats NEVER played with each other. most of the olympic teams the US faced have been ballin together for years. they know each others games...unlike the US team. its funny that bitches like Carmelo Anthony get respect....im glad Brown put his whiny ass on the end of the bench. he's been whinin ever since he came into the league..u cant win with guys like that.

when yugoslavia won the world champ's in Indiana ....the coach threw out Radmanovic...literally told him to go sit in the stands...and then suspended him for the final games. radmanovic plays for seattle..and is a dope ass player..but the coach knew that one bad attitude could spoil everything...brown shoulda done the same with Mello or any1 else bitchin and moanin
