The one thing I took away from these 2 games is that the Cards just don't have the pitching to deal with the Sox bats. They need to outslug Boston in order to win and it hasn't happened yet... They need to outslug Boston in order to win and it hasn't happened yet...I'm not saying anything because I am usually wrong with predictions, but goddamn the Sox are coming through in the clutchwhat I do like about Francona.....he pitched Schilling tonight in the cold knowing that Pedro pitches terrible in the cold while saving him for a game in St. Louis where the temp is 70 degrees. I never liked Francoma much until the series against NY. He finally woke up and has been pretty damn good every since, I'm glad to have him as our manager now That's a good point you brought up about Pedro and the cold.. I never thought of that and was actually wondering why Schilling was pitching today. I figured Pedro for games 2 and 6 to save Schilling from playing injured again in game 7 (since having a game 7's chances are slimmer).
