I've never beenas quoted from erick's journal regarding the last discotheque afterhours gig...This coming weekend I'm really excited as I'll be playing at what has probably become my favorite gig in NYC, at Club Discotheque. It'll be my big homecoming at this afterhours joint. I'll be starting at 5am, and the last time I played there, I played until 7pm, so it'll be a marathon set for sure!I really enjoy playing for this crowd... they are the most receptive crowd I've played in the US. Also, I get to mix it up and play harder than usual. House, techno, and of course, my New York classics. This is the only place in the world I get the reaction I get, as we all grew up together in NY. If you ever get a chance to check me out in NY, make sure it's an afterhours because it's a lot of fun. I've never beenlast time I went the music was sick. if i wasn't with a group of people that i loved being around, i think i would have hated it. there were a bunch of trashed trannies wasted on Tina fist fighting for like an hour. and a bunch of wacked Asians. but it was also like 2pm. that could of played into it. but i will be there for morillo. i have a new found respect for him after seeing him at crobar. he ripped that place a new asshole. the vibe was amazing, the people were nice and i had a grate time. hope he can bring that vibe to discotheque Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
