Steve Lawler : Lights Out Miami : 2005

Recommended Posts

um, i know this will sound blasphemous (never been to lights out), but would anyone care to comment on how this party might be different/better than the Circus Miami party @ Nocturnal (Fatboy Slim's exclusive performance @ WMC)?

Fatboy slim will be good, dont get me wrong, but personally I think his music is getting kinda old hat nowadays, besides I have seen him loads of times already (including the famous brighton beach gig)

We stumbled across the Lawler 'Lights Out' night last year by total accident, and couldnt believe the energy, music, visuals & knowlegable people (although there could of been more girls, agreed)

The venue & the sound system was awesome, the music was infectious and for me at least, it was the event of last year bar none.

If fatboy would of been any other night I would of gone, but this always happens at the conf and it makes you go back year after year to experience more venues/acts.

Oh, one more thing, I need to say again, the music was good. bomb after bomb after bomb. REAL good. PROPER House.

Viva La Acid House.

See you on the dancefloor.

STEVE LAWLER : LIGHTS OUT MIAMI 2005

STEVE LAWLER’S LEGENDARY “LIGHTS OUT†EXPERIENCE STORMS BACK INTO MIAMI, MARKED AS ONE OF THE MOST ANTICIPATED EVENTS OF THE ANNUAL WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE WEEK FOR THE FOURTH STRAIGHT YEAR.

MIAMI – Prepare yourself as “Steve Lawler : Lights Out Miami 2005†invades the Winter Music Conference. The event is taking place on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2005 at State Nightclub : 320 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. Lights Out Miami 2005 is the signature event of renowned DJ/Producer Steve Lawler, famed worldwide for his massive “dirty and twisted†productions and compelling DJ shows.

Lights Out Miami is making its return, undisputedly as one of the best events of the 2004 Conference with a sell-out show that kept a capacity crowd ecstatic beyond Lawler’s last record. The experience returns in 2005 with an even more impacting and thrilling spectacle, maintaining the integrity of its identity: obscure, hedonistic and decadent. The elements are set for a fully intoxicating ambience, full of raw energy and setting the stage for the grand return of Lights Out Miami. The event will feature mind-bending visual and special effects manipulated live by video artists, exotic performers in costume, a ‘state of the art’ light show and a mighty EAW Avalon sound system specially tuned to precision for this event.

Lights Out Miami is Steve Lawler’s * exclusive * conference performance. It’s an experience set to make your pulse race and your body quiver, it’s the single event of the conference you will not want to miss!

“Lights Out Miami is the most important gig out of the year for me. It’s the one I spend months preparing for, carefully sorting and selecting music, editing and revamping cuts in the studio. Quite a lot goes into this night.â€

- Steve Lawler

“It’s indescribable, this event, the vibe in the air last year was so intense. The energy was something out of this world and the crowd responded amazingly to it all. Steve brings it like no other, he is a living legend.â€

- Diego Martinelli, Lights Out Miami (Event Producer & Promoter)

The most important facet of this grand occasion is, of course, house music:

once its full, lock the doors and turn the LIGHTS OUT

You were there last year, right? Is this place just packed like a sardine can? I've heard good things pretty much so I'm mostly curious about room to move, or sit, or dance. Or should I just plan on having enough room to just jump straight up and down?

place was packed, great vibe, great sounds, great people.

if you flick back a few pages of this thread look for an animation of the night, that gives you an idea, jumping room only.

if you want to sit down, go find another party :bounce::bounce::bounce:

I plan on using this party as a workout rather than a chillout.

You can of course sit down and relax in the upstairs room, but I will be on the podium, front centre, the entire night so bring me some drinks every now and then.
