k_car Posted December 19 Report Share Posted December 19 dude rio de jinero is the best!!! just be careful at night time... as you go into towards the city, away from the beach it gets VERY dangerous. don't wear any jewelry , even watches... you will be a target. the clubs are a lot of fun, but most of the women in the clubs are, ahem... working girls. just go to the clubs and have fun fool around there, but don't take them home!!!if you wanna hook up, just go to the beach. unlike sao paolo, the women there are very aggressive. be the man. bring your english-portugese dictionary.you can get local hotspot names from the hotel you are staying at... i stayed at hotel del sol, near copacabanna. it was awesome!!!the reason i know all this is that i used to go to brazil 3-4X a year on business.just be careful!!!attached is a nice pic from sugarloaf mountain for your viewing pleasure ------------------ *************************I've got more girls on my tip than a human shish-ka-bob!************************* Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
shinedancer Posted December 19 Report Share Posted December 19 Well....I haven't been to any clubs in Rio, only Sao Paulo. The nightlife in Brasil is CRAZY!!! Those people party all night long, every night. Also-EVERYONE there is beautiful and they are most likely the friendliest people you will ever meet. You might want to check out www.ipanema.com for a list of clubs in Rio. The music down there is a bit ahead of what we have here. I came back with tons of music from February that didn't reach the states until July. I'm going down again in February so post your reviews of any clubs!Have a great trip!
