sheendawg
The first time i heard DT talking on the mic was at the old space about 3 years ago. It was about 4pm and he started playing all kinds of random shit, Air Supply, Donna Summers, The Police, Pink Floyd......then he started fucking with Security: "Ok everyone this is the last song.....but how about one more!" I thought it was hysterical and it really made it more intimate. My favorite part was when he yelled at a friend of mine that was on his cell phone.."Diego, what did i tell you? No cell phones!". It was too funny.Morillo and Puffy last year: i wanted to SHOOT them.LMFAO!!!!I remember one time at Vinyl Danny put one of his own FRIENDS on blast and had him put out of the club for smoking! Shined the flashlight on his ass and got on the mic and said, "Security over in the corner. See him out. And that's supposed to be my BOY from Queens too."He ain't give a FUCK! computerjockey
DJ's talking on the mic is kinda annoying BUT my favorite mix tapes from an old club i used to go to would be those when the DJ would leave the mic on and you could hear us howling our heads off at various parts of the song. It's just cool to listen to it be like "HOLY SHITE! that's me and my friends!!!!"
moe03
If you're going to use a mic, use it wisely like DJ Colette. Sing damn it! And that's only if you have a nice voice.
