This will change in about 9 months when the Pure Group reopens Ra under their management reign.
greenie
What, Ra is still actually open?
vegasguy25
Ra will be closing soon to make way for Vegas branches of LAX and The Roxy. MGM Mirage inked a deal with Pure Management Group to develop and run those venues.
djmasterweb
ever since Duanne King got locked up, RA has been in decline.Yes, Duanne's situation hurt some nights, but Ra's Thursday night was crackin and gaining momentum for a long while after the Duanne King situation. When MGM took over the Luxor (last summer), they fired the whole Thursday night hip-hop crew (Mr. Bob, Warren Peace and all the promoters) which COMPLETELY and INSTANTLY alienated their Thursday night crowd, who had patronized the club for a strong seven (or so) years. Their Thursday night was the top night of the week for years. Most of that crowd has moved on to OPM (for hip-hop) and the other newer clubs in town for the new parties. If you want the hip-hop vibe like Ra Thursday, OPM Fri/Sat is your new choice but the dress code is much stricter and don't even think about bringing any herb. OPM's dress code has gotten strict these days. I mean, when Herb sports his fly-ass suit and still can't make it through the door, you know business is booming.
