MyIbiza
bcn,Is a one day trip to Formetera worth the time? Have you been there?
Guest bcnjunkie
Oh yeah !, infact I recommend a day trip. If you can't go for a few days go early in the day and spend the whole day until early evening. When I've been, we rent a car for the day then go beach hopping have a nice paella on the beach, etc. relaxation at it's best. It is a piece of paradise ! MyIbiza
Do you remember at what time the ferry leaves in the evening? I've heard they have a nice sunset bar there.
Guest bcnjunkie
not really but it isn't too early. There's onl;y one big bar and club which I hear is pretty fun (never hit the nightlife there, did the relax thing only). still, GO
Guest bencorlett
Just a quick question, as I'n new to this board, but I moved to the US in October for work, and am just trying to work out if I can get back to Ibiza for a week this summer.I feel like my year would be incomplete if I didn't make the annual pilgrimage to the White Isle, but all the options I've looked at are hugely expensive. If any of you have trips booked, can you let me know what the cheapest way to get there was? Also, is Miami a suitable (equivalent?!?) alternative for the summer. Thanks! 8)
MyIbiza
Welcome Eurotrash, to the board and Miami.I'm booked for the 26th of May. At around $800 round trip.In 2001, for the first week of August I paid $950 Round trip.Miami is also great for the summer! Lots going on.Try, Nikki Beach on Sunday afternoons, it's got an Ibiza feel to it!!
Guest bencorlett
Hey - thanks MI! - for the welcome and the info.Even if I fly in July the flight is $1400, but add in accomodation and meals etc (you've been - you know the prices!) it comes to about $2500. This just seems expensive for a clubbing holiday - especially if Miami is a suitable alternative.[Aside to anyone else reading this who's not gone: Ibiza is TOO GOOD NOT TO GO. YOU HAVE TO GO if you've never been. Try and tie it in with another European trip - you can get package deals from London for £300 for a week]The question I'm really asking is, given Miami is closer and cheaper, is it as good? If so, then I want to go and explore new places, clubs, vibes etc, if not then I don't want to waste my money and vacation (you guys don't give much over here!) and I'll pay the extra and fly to Ibiza for the week.Any Miami / Ibiza advice appreciated! MyIbiza
euro,I live in Miami. Change is good. ;DTo me every penny spent towards an Ibiza trip is worth it.Miami has lots to offer, just checkout the cooljunkie site.Sun, babes, bars, clubs, music, you name it, we got it.Since you are new in town you will have a good time.given Miami is closer and cheaper, is it as good?Since I live here. no.But again, Ibiza, is like no place on earth. Guest bencorlett
My girlfriend really didn't have the resources to get to Ibiza and thoroughly enjoy it so I booked Miami for the two of us over the weekend. We're going in the second week of August - is there a guide somewhere of what's best which night of the week? I know from experience that no matter how well known the promoter / DJ, without the atmosphere the party doesn't start! You mentioned Nikki Beach on Sunday afternoons - do you have any other tips? The CJ listings don't seem to go that far out... Where are the good local nights?Ibiza will have to wait until next year unless I go by myself to some of the closing parties... Thanks again!PS Saw Roger Sanchez rock Spirit (was Twilo) with Release Yourself on Saturday. Just about recovered now

MyIbiza
Have you been looking at the Ibiza-Spotlight board? The more popular place to stay is within Playa D'en Bossa. You have Bora-Bora and Space in this area. I've stayed in Ibiza Town and Talamanca before, its less than 5 minute walk to Pacha & El Divino, but far from the good stuff, Bora Bora.I'm staying at Club Playa D'en Bossa, for the first time. But, many stay at the JET apartments.www.ibiza-hotels.com

MyIbiza
If no one wants to go with you, just go by yourself, you'll meet tons of people in Ibiza. Take a look at the Spotlight board (www.ibiza-forums.com), there's plenty of people that are going the days u are.
