That was a major business fuckup and that was not staged. Those people were pissed. Saleen is right, it makes Vegas seem depressing. Which from what I've been told, it kind of is from a certain perspective. I'd have to go further though. Space elevators rock. A recent SciAm article said the first one could be erected for around $10-$12 billion. 1/10th the cost of the war in Iraq.
