(didnt liked the "call on me" track) but the set was great ! (Josh Wink sounds great at the terrace) everybody was reacting to the music and thats the kinda feeling i always look for when i go out .. how the people react to the djalways great to see the "familiar" faces quote of the night "OMFG, i saw the assasin and he gave me 3 jagger shots, OMFG im broke ... dude ! it's not even 11pm !!" <<< funny shit, im glad u had fun ps. mr "cheater" at the patio .. nice bitch right there :left at 9am ... Guest web_norah
i can't really believe with NYC being such a big "scene" these guests came on playing the same everyday stuffhey Andrew that DJ from NY is a nobodywhy dont they book the 112 crew, Danny Krivit, Francois K, David Morales, Hec Romero, Peter Rauhofer, Angel Moraes, Merritt, Jr, Boris or even J Peters? those are big names. Guest pod
I had a blast upstairs. Alejandro rocked it, and Cedric demolished it. 8)No Gervaittes, but Lazardi's wife had a few friends with her that made up for it. Line of the night: "It's all your damn fault, you make me drink!" Boris? >And how many people in Miami would actually go to see Francois K.? Most of them probably think he's the doctor who practices euthanasia. :And, as amazing as Danny Krivit is, you can't fill Space's room with that kind of talent. NY Garage is best left in NYC. The two times i saw Boris down here at crobar over the past few months he ROCKED it, just like back home, but nobody knows how good it is and the crowd wasn't feeling it. The underground sound of him, Merit (ONE OF MY FAV'S) and JP is lost here, one of the only things i really miss about NY. Miami doesn't need to be the same, we used to have a unique style i feel, but now it's all the same shit everywhere all the time, no variation. Take some risks dj's..play a song that maybe everyone and their grandmothers dont know.
Guest web_norah
i think that in terms of music, Boris would probably suit the Space crowd....(i dont like his style but i know he can turn it out)now as far as the 112 guys, they definitely are one of the best parties in NYC right now.Phil, you're right ...Danny Krivit would probably bomb, but i think musically he's great.....taking a risk isnt a bad thing
V. Barbarino
The reality is it's not a nyc dj issue, it's a miami crowd issue. Few djs from nyc can come here their first time and rock it out.. If you don't understand the main room at space and what they are into then you gotta be conservative or you ain't getting booked again... However with that being said, I wasn't there and I don't know if they rocked it out or not, I never take any dade county residents opinion when it comes to nyc house... Dont worry, I wrote space a long email about this booking..
Guest dirtyhouse777
like i said before i think this booking was completely odd and bazaari only stayed til one. but it seems like exacta was pulling records out of his ass, with no real flow to the ?set? everything from skylark's "love song" to louie vega's "diamond life" (which he played for about 30 seconds).in other news, dj tony draper is booked to headline next saturday. I don't think they could headline yet. Atleast not in Miami. This market is not open to their sounds for the most part unforatunately.I haven't seen Sastoshi or Hector, but I keep hearing their SAW party is one of the best year in and year out. That Kid Chris .. haven't seen him either.I think this year we'll see Prydz and Knight and Angello after WMC. Too much hype on them for someone not to take a chance on them. Atleast Prydz and Knight .. not sure about Steve quite yet.
