Ft Dodge stopped producing in Mexico b/c they learned most of their shipments were being diverted to the US black market. Then in Oct of 2002, the feds shut down the Ttokkyo Lab facilities - and POOF - most of the supply was gone. There are some other brands in Mexico which popped up, but there is not enough of them to supply the massive demand. That, combined with the fact that even the Mexican pharmacists don't want to sell the stuff anymore in quantity - makes for a major drought.The DEA has done one hell of a job in disrupting the distribution of this drug.
