Well this is the story.

I got to my girl's house still kinda nervous and when i got there my girl was completely reashuring.She kept telling me not to worry and that it wasnt that big a deal.So i think to myself ok,it wont be that bad i get a little dinner and a little drink and then ill go home.So in passing while waiting to go over to the friends house i say "so what time is this going on till?"I think somewhere along the lines of like 10-11 something like that and she looks at me crazy!!(this was not the last time i would get that look tonight)She says you dont know Spanish people!!Its going till at least 2-3am!!!!!!!!!!!!I was like what?????How could that be possible??(I think to myself "is this a rave??")

Anyway so i meet the family who turns out to be incredibly nice and down to earth.Then we head over to the house,where the party is located.I am kinda nervous still because everyone is speaking Spanish and i have no idea whats going on or whats being said.There looks to be only like 20 people at the party and i say to my girl hey is this the only people coming??(Once again i get the crazy look)She just smiles and says it will go off in a little bit.Almost as soon as she says that the party starts going crazy,more and more people show up.It gets packed inlike 2 minutes of her saying this.Lots of drinking, lots of food and lots of cool people.I kinda had a buddy other than my girl who made the night all the more better.He was my girls sisters husband.Who i hungout with for most of the night.He was mad cool and whoever my girl didnt introduce me to he made sure to.It was sooo cool on so many levels because, he was at one time sorta in my place and he brought that point up and he also pointed out that there were 2 diffrence's you dont speak a lick of Spanish and you have just started going out with my sister in law,not getting ready to Marry(we both had a good laugh over the Spanish part).So we ended it on the point that we are diffrent, but very much the same.

Everyone at the party was great.One guy in particular was like the comedian of the group who was classic he spoke English and we talked about NFL football and Futball,hilariuos guy.Just after that there was a conga line that iwas dragged into around the whole pool.lolI made sure to grab my girl and drag her into it as well.lol Loved it!!

Around 2am a chef with a big hat comes out and starts busting out Sushi rolls!!!I was like damn these people are in this for the longrun!!So as the night goes on its about just before 3 am and everyone is still going strong.At this point im feeling a bit tired from partying nonstop for 7 hours!!So about 3am i decide to have the a last night cap at the party and say goodbye to everyone,i mean the whole party.lol

So i get to her family and say goodbye to the parents.Just waiting to say goodbye to the father last. So i get to the father and he says to me "Dont think you'll leave this early all the time" and smiles and we have a little laugh.

The whole thing was amazing!!

I had such a great time,ate tons of awesome food,got rediculuosly bombed!!! I just couldn't have asked for a better night.Even though i couldnt understand what was being said 80% of the time, i loved every minute of it.

Classic experience.Im sooo glad i went.

I didn't even use one word of Spanish the whole night for Barbarino.lol

Well it worked out very well for you with a buddy, some great food and drinks and no pressure kinda fun. Get used to the time thing we Latins party hard and long but that's better than being stuck at a boring dinner party. Learning Spanish will only benefit you in life and your relationship, good luck.
