Wait, don't you do events at a fairly large nightclub on South Beach? I don't know who runs it, but I'll bet dollars to donuts they'll turn you out the minute a more profitable concept comes along.

you are right, they prolly would... but at least they arent trying to run everyone else out, or sending attorney letters to their competition... arent they???

this is a useless conversation... you have your view and I have mine...

and quite frankly, none of this really means shit anyway.

It's called competition, and if your employers were on top, you can bet your ass they'd be as aggressive, if not more so than the Space crew.

Welcome to the United States of America. In business, it's eat or be eaten. If you're imagining some sort of socialist can't-we-all-just-get-along paradise, I suggest you pack up and move east. Hell, even over there the clubs are very competitive.

Nightlife is big business, and those who are in it to win it are going to act accordingly.

It's a survival mechanism, nothing more.

Not to continually state the obvious, but this is normal for any successful business. Even if a business is on top and has nothing to worry about, they will conduct these sort of actions to ensure they stay on top. The worst thing you can do in a highly competitive business environment is assume everything is gonna be alright once you are on top. To maintain your edge, you have to be ever vigilant. And nightlife is a fierce environment.

To cite other industries, look at Microsoft. They have legions of legal specialists who do nothing all day but examine other people's software and developments to make sure their patents are not being infringed on. Apple does it too. Intel, AMD, etc. And that's just in the tech sector.

Unfortunately, here you're confusing art with business.

Being on top means you have the most to worry about. Being on the bottom means you are only trying to crawl your way up. Being on top means you have to worry about every fucker below you trying to take away your business. Come on, dude, if you don't know anything about business, why not just listen to those who do? I mean, I'm sure you are a great DJ, I suck at it. I know business. What next, you going to try to give a surgeon advice on how to cure cancer?

Why do you keep trying to explain business to this guy. It's obvious he doesn't have any business sense whatsoever.

Imagine if you were part of the coke scene. Would there be a coke scene if the Colombians weren't making profits?

That is exactly why there are so many drug dealers in south america. quieren muchos dolares.

It depends on demand, actually. If the Columbians were unable to operate profitably for whatever reason, and there was still significant demand for it, then someone else would step in. I'm not sure how this relates to Space's situation, though.

It's funny how people whom have never set foot in either club are taking this more personally than the people who are involved themselves.

I would say 'shut up, adults are talking', but that would be mean.
