CLEARWATER - Linda Hogan has filed for divorce from her wrestler husband Hulk Hogan, a newspaper reported Friday.

Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, told the St. Petersburg Times that he had no idea his wife had filed for divorce. He was informed by a reporter that Pinellas County court records showed that the paperwork was submitted Tuesday.

``Thank you for the great information,'' he told the reporter.

Family spokesman Adam Handelsman referred calls to another spokesman, who did not immediately respond Friday night.

``My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes,'' Bollea later told the newspaper. ``Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me.''

The couple star in the VH1 reality TV series ``Hogan Knows Best,'' with their two children. Recent episodes show the normally close couple attending marital counseling, but they eventually reconcile.

On Nov. 7, Hogan's son, 17-year-old Nick Bollea, was arrested on reckless-driving charges after a car crash. Clearwater police said Bollea crashed his 1998 Toyota Supra on Aug. 26 while street racing against a silver Dodge Viper driven by a friend. A report said Bollea was driving faster than 60 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Bollea's passenger, John Graziano, was not wearing a seat belt and was critically injured. Bollea, who was wearing a seat belt, was not seriously injured.

The Hogans moved to a $12 million bayfront estate on Miami Beach in 2006 so their children, Brooke and Nick, could pursue singing and acting careers. They had previously lived in Clearwater, near Tampa.

ouch. it looks like she doesnt need him anymore. she is famous (relatively) off thier reality show. she took him for a ride for about 20 years and said thanks pal im on my own. ill take my fame and cash in. i guess these relaity shows end your marriage. Jessica Simpson, and Carmen Electra.

poor "Hulk" he is getting old his body aches and his money is draining. i have seen only a handful of thier show. its somewhat intruiging especially if u were a wrestling fan as a kid in the 80s. ironically one of the few shows i saw she got a personal trainer and Hulk was jealous.

the good thing about this may be his daughter may never make it in the music biz and from this her self esteem will sink and she ends up in porn

whatcha gonna do {brother} when the divorce papers are being filed to you!

His wife is lucky she rode his coat tails and got the cash out of him that she did other than that she would have been ass up in some biker bar getting gang banged by the hell's angels if she was lucky...this chick is a half-ass mother like the rest of the fast-cash hollywood silicones. Love the shit she said before her kid smashed his Supra and put his friend in critical condition (coma) and then flat out lied and claimed she never said a word of it.

With his son almost getting killed in a car wreck, finding out that his wife is divorcing him through the media, WWE having him by the balls for the next 20 years, Brooke out partying her ass off now.... It's a miracle that the man is still walking.

before all of you start jumping to conclusions about the wife taking "his money" and bla bla, they were after all married 25 years not 5 or 1 year....

Lawyer’s for the family of the victim in the Nick Hogan car crash think that the Hulkster’s divorce from wife of nearly 25 years, Linda, is merely a ruse.

Kimberley Kohn, a Tampa attorney who represents Ed Graziano, the father of injured passenger John Graziano, is doubting the Hogan divorce.

She claims that Hulk and Linda are splitting in a move to protect their assets.

The Graziano family is planning to sue the Hogans and if they are divorced, they would have to go after each one individually, making it much more difficult.

John Graziano has been hospitalized since the August accident and is pretty much brain dead. His family wants the Hogans to pay for his medical care for life. And they should!

but nothing is free in this life and trust me the family of this poor dude will definitely sue, sooner or later...and rightfully so.

I have been in some pretty horrible wrecks in my day and thank God no one was seriously injured, but I could not imagine getting sued after getting in any one of the 3 totalled cars I've had, by my friends parents.

Do you all think they want to sue because the Hogan's have money? If both family's were average Joes/Janes, would one family sue after their son gets in a car with his friend to go joy riding and gets critically injured? Another question, is there no insurance for either of these 2? I know others around where I live who have gotten in severe bodily harm wrecks and have not been sued, even by the other drivers?

Your thoughts?

Two issues here

That kid knew Hogan was racing, it wasn't like they were tooling around going to 7-11 and a Viper showed up. They went out hunting for races.

Second he wasn't wearing his belt. While I agree Nick Hogan was ultimately responsible for his passengers, lets not let the kid in the hospital off of responsibility.

That's pretty much what I was getting at..While it's a horrible situation for everyone involved, they both were out gunning for cheap thrills.

the kid is going to have medical bills for life. the first rule of auto insurance is "coverage follows the car". he is going to need every dollar he can get. if he sues it will probably be Hogan's insurance carrier footing the majority of the bill. unless he gets awarded millions, and proves Hogan's kid was negligent. might be hard to prove since he was most likely in the car willingly and accepted the racing.

man after see that kid drive on his reality seris, i would have thought twice before getting into that car, nick hogan cant drive worth shit. at any rate, its hard to assign blame in something tragic like this, but from reading the original report, it was obviously a pretty extreme case of reckless driving, so imagine the other boys family has some civil litigation standing there.
