fiatmusica
Did anyone else see Metro's ad in the Reader for a second Oakenfold show at Metro on 4/13? (If you have the reader its on Page 9 of Section 3).This show is some kind of benefit which starts at 11. I called Metro's box office and they said he'd be playing after the Aragon show.------------------"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds"-Einstein
citybartender
Hmmm... Interesting. Does that mean that the Oakster will be leaving the Brawlroom at or before 11pm??? Such a short set...------------------
kimberlyco
It BETTER not be!!! Someone let me know!
fiatmusica
I think the opening act--Barry Harris (who I know nothing about)--goes on at 11-ish. I doubt Oakenfold will go on until 1-1:30-ish. (which is when i think the aragon show will end) I think the whole Metro/Smart Bar/Fuel complex has a late license and can go to 4.------------------"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds"-Einstein

robbiemac
What is this about Oakenfold only spinning for 20 minutes at the Metro? I have to say that this whole thing really is confusing to me. I have bought tickets to both events, but wonder if the Metro is worth it. How long will Oakenfold spin? I assumed he would finish at the Aragon and then head over to the Metro around 1:30 and possibly spin from 2:00-3:30. Am I off base here? Does anyone know for sure? What is the deal with this Barry Harris dude? Any help would be much appreciated here!
fiatmusica
For what's worth, here's a copy of an e-mail I sent to PURE on Friday and their response today. (I edited my name and e-mail out of the message) According to Pure, the Metro show is going to 4.I'm going only to the late show b/c (1) I waited too long for the aragon and (2) I live right by the Metro. (I'm close to the Aragon too, but not a block away)Anyhow, whatever show you go to, have a great time!FM------Original Message------From: "PURE" <info@purefuture.com>To: [FIATMUSICA]Sent: April 10, 2001 6:03:23 PM GMTSubject: Re: oakenfold at metro 4/13?----- Original Message -----From: [FIATMUSICA]To: <info@purefuture.com>Sent: Friday, April 06, 2001 1:48 PMSubject: oakenfold at metro 4/13?> Hey:>> What's the deal with the Lifebeat Benefit concert at Metro on 4/13.
