Nestor
Know why? Cause trance is pretty much over, over seas. It's only catching on here. It's about 5 years too late. On the 8th he whipped out french kiss, granted it was not the original version, but aside from it being faster and the sound being a little fuller, it really wasn't changed much at all. i think thats part of why he was prolly ranked that low. he's known as king of trance, and he himself hates the title b/c he plays so much more. Honestly he played a ton of breakbeats a few weeks ago.I for one can't see oakey up there. IMO he's really not that good. To me he's king of trance, doens't mix it up that much at all, then i have limited first hand experience so...-Rob------------------"And thus they give the time, that Nature meantFor peaceful sleep and meditative snores,To ceaseless din and mindless merrimentAnd waste of shoes and floors." phatgeorge
i would like to see the entire list, anyone have a link or bored enough to type all 50 ? thanks...------------------Hooray for Boobies.
nlichau
I'd like to see the list myself. If they are ranking best in the world-I would say they got it right with Carl Cox-he is HUGE in just about every country.Plus his skills are just about unmatched. He creates his music-mostly from scratch. Yes it's hard beats, but its the technique of the layering that makes the music he spins.
blueangel
How in the WORLD are they gonna put Cox and Oaky before Sasha and PVD?? HOW???? Obviously, this must be the top 50 list of Europe NOT the world. Cause if it was . . . then somebody needs to seriously get their head checked!AND one last thing . . . I have to agree with Rob that PVD does NOT play trance anymore. If you go catch him at Twilo then you'll know that he's been playing a lot of breakbeat, tech-house . . . and some new experimental stuff. His style is evolving . . . like EVERY other DJ out there.BlueAngel------------------"Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." apdiddy
someone post a link to these rakings. personally i think diggs is #1, and i dont believe pvd should be top 10. blue comeon, pvd doesnt play trance anymore? he's still playing the same trance he played in 97.and oakey shouldnt even be top 50. much respect to dt and cox, they both deserve the recognition.for all diggs fans, get his mix at massive germany off napster. the best 60min mix ever to exist!------------------mmmmnnnn donuts...*drool*[This message has been edited by p00h (edited 09-20-2000).]

lafera1
That list is pretty off, PVD is further down the list than josh wink and nick warren. Not to say that they are not good but come on. Anyhow none of the funky techno tribe are on there or most of the european dj's. I think the list represents the U.S. more than anything. peace,Steph ------------------
