Your GPA can be brought up though. In most cases it gets better every semester, esp. when some of the "thrill" of being in college & independent wears off. But you're going to have to work for it, no slacking or going out the night before a test unless you're SURE you know the material. You might need help w/ your study skills, but I'm sure you'll do better this semester. az-tec Posted January 14 Report Share Posted January 14 hey at my first semesterat Univ. of Delaware I got a 1.4 then the next semester I got a 3.1 justto get me off Academic probation. After that Iproceeded to get 1.8 and 1.9's for the next 3 semesters.....BUt istill graduated witha 2.3 thanks to my easy ass senior year dont worry about it....just make sure yu pass the classes and get credit for them. IMO college is notjust to learn from books it is to have fun, meet as many people as possible and learn how to become an adult.Dont beat yourself up over this. lolly Posted January 14 Report Share Posted January 14 I have a 2.9 and this is my 2nd semester Junior year. I would say I've done the minimal amount of work I have to do just to get by. If I put in those extra hours I'd probably do awesome, but I can never seem to just stay in and study. Doesn't it always seem like when you start a new semester you set these weird aspirations for yourself and the upcoming semester. Like, I'm gonnna be organized! I'm not going out during the week!
