mangledx
2 Gemini CDJ-10 Table Top CD players 1 Gemini PS-700 4-channel mixer with 3-phono, 5-line and 3-mic inputs How does that sound for alittle starter system.. ? Or am I going In the wrong direction ?
ibclubbin
the worst thing you can do is buy a "starter system"...decide BEFORE you buy anything if you are serious or not...if you arent serious then buy whatever you can affordif you are serious though, invest the money in something good, because youll hate yourself (like i do now) later when you could have gotten something much much better for just another couple hundred moreid go with Denon cd decks if i was starting out again....BG
dmerces
I agree with ibclubbin. Try and get atleast a Dennon 2100 if you can. I started out with the 1800 and within two months had to bump up to the 2500 (which they don't make anymore, back then it was the big Dennon CD player) but I just scrapped that and baught the 2600. Also scrapped my Vestax mixer and picked up a Rane MP 2016 and the Xp 2016 also. Enjoy it bro! Don't get frustrated and trust me if you stick with it you'll see how worth it it was.Dave:D

djkrackct
A nice mixer for a beginner, is the Gemini series. Check out www.geminidj.com and look at the BPM & PMX mixers. Awesome mixers with a good price tag.
cobo
3 places are of interest: the big 2 are sam ash and guitar center. Sam ash has got a special dj store in wantagh I believe. Otherwise, check out Lootusa.com---you can get some good deals and often people want to off load their shit cause they need money bad. Best of luckCobo:D
jester22
I ACTUALLY BOUGHT SOME OF MY STUFF FROM THE GUITAR CENTER IN NJ. THEY HAVE VERY GOOD PRICES FOR DJ EQUIPMENT. I ALSO GOT SOME OF MY EQUIPMENT THROUGH SAM ASH......YOU CAN EVER ORDER FROM THEIR CATALOG..
ibclubbin
forget guitar center, forget sam ashgo into Philly...there are tons of wholesale places on Market street and around there that will sell you for less than anywhere else, and if you work it right, you can get away with paying no tax...i recommend Philly's Electronics...thats where i go to get all my stuff....he will usually ship for free if you buy something large...BG
