What happens if you live out in the sticks the way I do and don't know anyone (and I do mean anyone) near me that works in NY. Besides if you commute with someone else, you're kind of locked into keeping to their schedule or cramping your schedule. I can take the train, but it means fighting for parking at the station, taking not one but 2 trains, just to get to Penn Station in NY. And if I decide to hang out in the city after I'm done, I can't stay late, because my train stops running from Newark after a certain time.
