When the temp starts to drop and the leaves turn color, I start to feel empty and alone. I don't know why maybe its cause the fall is kinda romantic and I have no one to share it with... In the summer it is a different thing being single but once the cold weather comes, it is nice to have someone to snugglw with. I agree that you can meet people when you are out but my friend experience, it usually doesnt work out. I really think it is much easier to meet someone through someone you know. shugabooga Posted September 27 Report Share Posted September 27 i hear ya. shorter days = less sunlight. plus the changing of the season, lower temps, leaves falling, wind blowing, birds migrating south...brings on a certain melancholy for some. nature is dying off and preparing for a season of dormancy. it can bring on SAD - seasonal something something - what does it stand for? it's a condition brought on by having less sunlight each day. Plus i think this is the most romantic time of the year... you go pumpkin pickin', cider drinkin', carve jack-0-lanterns, Trick Or Treating, Roll around in the leaves IMO this is the best time of year... The fall is actually beautiful but I can't help but think of the long cold winter that's just around the corner. I suffer from SAD, but when there's noone there to keep you warm it just makes it worse.
