Where is your favorite place to eat in the city?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this is gonna get some crazy answers, so here goes: Minar on 31st b/w 5th and 6th. I eat lunch there ALL THE TIME and absolutely love it. Cheap Indian, with daily specials...

I wish I had more sophisticated tastes, but most of the time all I want is Indian, and this is the best shit around. Honorable mention: Dueling Indian on 6th Street and 1st (?). The two with the chile lights on the second floor. Best when it's someone's birthday and they play the Indian techno birthday song. That shit rules. I think I like the one on the right better (I always forget). They're pretty much the same. Bring a sixer of Magic Hat #9, or some Kingfischer. It's BYOB, so get the party started quickly...

for informal dining-the pod in williamsburg

for dessert-the peanut butter company on west 3rd and sullivan

a good all rounder has to be serendipity's in the east 50's (its near the H&M)
