then go out and get a DJ BMF CD. I have been a huge fan for years from back in my Orlando days and my friend burned me one of his cd's that I don't have...and IT'S SOOO GOOD (too bad I don't have the name of it)...filled with all kinds of surprises and goodies for your listening pleasure. It covers latin flairs, hip hop flairs (and I'm NOT in any way a fan of HIPHOP...and it's not hiphop in the commercial sense), housy jazzy grooves, scratching, mixing, etc.

I am hungover so that explaination is about as good as it's going to get for now..

THe music is soooothingggg my soul!!!!

YUMMY:cool:

If you like groovy music...

All I can say is check it out for yourself!!

Thanks Maudy! Maybe we can trade when we both get back to NYC. Hope you are relaxing and having fun. Drink a margarita (or 2) for me!!! [Although the thought of alcohol is making me ill at the moment.]:D

I have a friend who's really into them, I unfortunately missed them twice, once after a Moby concert last year in NYC, and at Area One, both times being a little to incapacited then.

I'll defintely have to listen to some of their music and the other ones listed here.

peace

RIGHT ON!!! You rule Kris! Check this out if you haven't before. His music does not fall into the classic acid jazz genre. It's funky and fresh and a sound like no other. It would really be considered abstract jazz over acid jazz.

Nice recommends from others too.

I love Theivery Corporation. I would also LOVE to find a place that just spun chill music and funky acid jazz flava's.
