It's deep, progessive house, but doesn't sound like all the other carbon copy crap that has been floating around the last few months. Ashley reworked alot of familar tunes to make them his own, (and I use the word "reworked" loosely- deconstruct may be more appropriate ).Check this one out..........Casselle is going to explode soon......do I see a nubreed CD is his future????? You like deviations better, really? I got hooked on him this summer in the U.K. when he was on tour w/ Gatecrasher! His sets are dark and twisted, I like him so much simply b/c he doesn't sound like anyone else! **Mr. "Ashtrax" Casselle is spinnin' at Vinyl on the 26th w/ Danny Howells! aeroplano Posted January 8 Report Share Posted January 8 i saw him spin with gatecrasher at the 2000 ultra (when it was a t the beach) for the gatecrasher tent. his set wasn't as good as his compilations. he mixed well, but it wasn't really my kind of sound. it was very anthemy, not at all dark, but i did think he was rather good. when i heard about deviations i hesitated before buying it fearing the sound would have been too much like his live set, but once i gave it a chance i was pretty much blown away.
