A Thanks To Everyone Who Came Out To Support Tiesto And A Great Night Of Music

Recommended Posts

MADNESS ENT WANTS TO THANK EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT TO SEE AN INCREDIBLE SHOW LAST NIGHT. FIRST OFF WAS DJ THEO, THEN NOEL SANGER. BOTH DJS RIPPED IT. THEN FINALLY THE MAN...TIESTO WHO KEEPS ON ROCKIN IT BETTER AND BETTER EACH TIME I SEE HIM. DJ THEO WENT ON AFTER TIESTO, AND AGAIN HE KEPT THE CROWD THERE AND THE PLACE WAS OFF THE HOOK TILL ABOUT 8AM. TO ALL THE HATERS OUT THERE, EXIT HAPPENS TO BE THE LARGEST AND NICEST CLUB OUT HERE IN NYC. STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT MONEY, AND STOP BEING A BUNCH OF RACIAL PEOPLE. THE REASON WHY THE CLUB IS SO PACKED, IS BECAUSE IT CAN HOLD A LOT OF PEOPLE UNLIKE THOSE OTHER CHEAZY LITTLE CLUBS, AND ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY TO SEE WORLD RENOWNED DJS SUCH AS TIESTO. WE HAVE MANY MANY MORE GREAT EVENTS COMING YOUR WAY. STAY TUNED THIS FRIDAY @ EXIT TO SEE DJ MAX GRAHAM. ONCE AGAIN, THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO WAS LOVING LIFE AND DANCING THEIR ASSES OFF TO SUCH GREAT TALENT. PEACE AND LOVE...SABRINA:D

That is kinda like an Oxymoron... No ???

Yes the club is large... But if you fill any club ( OVER CAPACITY ) no matter the size of the paticular club then it is over packed... It is dangerous. God forbid a fire. Or anything bad happened in that place... Alot of people would die because a night like last night you could not move without stepping on someone... Also... the Vibe was just shot because there was alot of bullsh*t attitude. But I almost don't blame people for there attitudes. It is the clubs fault for not being more selective at the door... And not more careful with ID's... Don't get me wrong... I loved TIESTO last night and I stayed till closing... But I only enjoyed myself because I blocked out all the other bullsh*t that was going on around me and just tuned myself into the music... I think they could turn the place around if they would set strict policies and stick to them. Why ruin it. Shit instead of being so greedy... Bring back the quality not the quantity... Why is the Tunnel Closed down because of the same shit that is going on at Exit... Over crouding... Crack heads... I mean there was a guy who had to be wrecked on Heroin sitting on the stairs for a good period of time before any one picked him up and moved him to god knows where... I mean that is just not a good sign in a club... If we are going to keep any kind of after hours or club life in NYC alive. We have to eliminate all the bullsh*t and get on the ball...

Later...

Whoa first off STEP DOWN!! If Clubplanet people feel the way they do it is for reasons. Really it is not appreciated to tell them not to complain is it their board. A lot are used to seeing these kind of DJ lineups at Vinyl and other places for less with a kinder crowd and a positive VIBEand for 20 bucks!

They go to enjoy themselves, something the venue no matter what has the obligation in providing in my opinion.

STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT MONEY, AND STOP BEING A BUNCH OF RACIAL PEOPLE.

They can complain about money since a lot of them are in college and have little of it. And for those of us that are way past that stage well I still remember when Sound Factory was 10 bucks to get in. *Gotta put that flyer up here*

Racial stuff yeah not cool. I really don't care what any certain racial or culture people are but be cool. There was a lot of bodies on the floor of a certain ethnic background who were sloppy, rude, and just anti social. SO I MADE SURE TO STEP DOWN HARD ON THEIR HANDS AND FEET IF THEY WERE LAYING OR SITTING ON THE DANCE FLOOR.

DANCE FLOOR IS FOR DANCING NOT SLEEPING :blown:

Tiesto was great for the time that I was there and I am not really into trance and I wanted to dance but too many people pushing.

EXIT HAD (OFFICIAL COUNT) 6,725 people last night

DAAAAAAAAMN

And 0 airconditioning units on!:tongue::rolleyes:

I like the space we are def going back sometimes these djs lineups are too worth it not to go.

SHOUT OUT TO EVERYONE DAVE AND I SAW!

The list!

HEY LANIE, ITS FRANKIE SANTOS AND SABRINA, IF IT WASN'T FOR ME, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE THIS GREAT TALENT COME INTO THE CLUB. YES THE CLUB IS BIG AND BEAUTIFUL AND TALENT IS OF THE HOOK. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO DEFEND YOUR TURF WHEN PEOPLE ARE TRASHING IT BECAUSE OF THERE JEALOUSY AND HATE. SO I AM JUST POINTING OUT, JUST LIKE YOU SAID EVERYONE IS INTITLED TO THERE OWN OPINION. LETS NOT BE THE BIG BULLY ON THE BLOCK, LETS STATE THE TRUE FACTS. REMEMBER SMALLER CLUBS CAN CHARGE CHEAPER PRICES CAUSE THEIR CAPACITY IS SMALLER THAN EXIT. THE PRICE OF DJS GO BY THE CAPACITY OF CLUBS. DON'T FORGET THESE ETHNIC BACKGROUNDS THAT YOUR TRASHING WERE ALSO AT CLUBS LIKE TWILO, TUNNEL, SOUNDFACTORY AND SO FORTH. BUT AT LEAST WE DON'T THROW PEOPLE IN CLOSETS WHEN THEY NEED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. YES, OF COURSE IT WAS OVERCROWDED, BUT THE REASON WHY FOR THAT IS THE GREAT TALENT THATS BEING BOOKED. SHOUT OUT TO EVERYONE THAT CAME OUT. PEACE...FRANK SANTOS AND SABRINA FROM PRM ENT.  :D :D

what u said about $$$ still doesn't make sense. of course the dj charge more for a bigger place.

small place: 1000 @ 20 bucks = 20k

big place: 6500 @ 20 bucks = 130k

seems like u can charge less and still have the dough to pay the djs.

and if u think u have the nicest club:

1. how bout having someone clean the bathroom from time to time

2. turn on the friggin AC...yes we'll still buy water and drinks

3. the drippy pipes below the bathrooms is truly nasty

4. get bouncers that don't harrass people for no reason. i won't go into it here but i saw lots of INEXCUSABLE stuff, and that's the norm at your club unfortunately (more so than other places)

5. work on your coat check system...was totally ridiculous

hey, great for bringing in the talent, we all appreciate that. oh, and its ok to keep people that didn't buy tickets in advance outside or even turn them away if the place is too crowded. no one wants to die or get trampled. if u have people passing out and sitting on the dance floor cause they can't get off it...well, nuff said. a buck ain't worth people's misery.

This Friday just proved that Exit is all about the money. You dont give a shit about your customers. Being charged 40 to get in and then the crap you gotta put up with inside is ridiculous. The reasons why have been mentioned before so I'm not even gonna bother. And I dont care how beautiful the club is, the people in charge do a great job of fucking it up...............

Well I could forumate this whole thesis on my opinion of Exit and analyze each point from every perspective... but it's been done. So i'll just cut to the chase, Exit sucked last night. Tiesto was pretty good, things got out of control. 6,700 people in that place is absolutely nuts. That should never happen, they should have capped it at 5,000 MAX.

MY CAPS LOCK IS BROKEN, THESE DAMN LEAKY PIPES OVER MY HEAD.

snuggles, please..., you talk like you brought the fucking Jesus to Exit and expect people to bow down in awe. Congratulations, this is the first time that dump had international talent on the decks. but dont make it seem like it was the leviathan of events. i saw Tiesto at Gatecrasher@Limelight a year ago, and the party was 10 times better. the vibe, the door people, the price, the aura, the sound. everything was better. what exit management should do, is go to UK, go to superclubs like Homelands, Cream, MOS or GCrasher and learn how to do business. you obviously have no understanding of what this business is about. if the customers are complaining, dont try to shut them up, try to fix the problem. bigger is not necessarily better, so dont slant smaller clubs for their size. most of their customers are repeat and satisfied ones, unlike exit, aka Alabama tourist, sweaty horny guido, Jersey blonde bimbo, k-hole asian dump.

Ummm yes I did already KNOW IT WAS YOU FRANKIE that is WHY I thought it was completely unneccessary for you or your girlfriend to come down on the Clubplanet peeps opinions. Here come the quotes and reactions!!

IF IT WASN'T FOR ME, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE THIS GREAT TALENT COME INTO THE CLUB

Granted you are doing the main floor Dj bookings for Fridays and props for that but let us remember that actually before there was EXIT, there was MIRAGE and CARBON! (Oh and Tunnel, Limelight, Palladium, USA, ROXY, Centro-Fly, Guernica, Vinyl, Twilo, etc....)

Carbon in particular that had everyone from Danny Tenaglia to Crystal Method perform. It's called cash. You got the cash you get the DJ. Sometimes even if you don't have much cash you get a great DJ. ex: ROGER SANCHEZ @ VINYL (Thank you Rob Fernandez), SEAN CUSIAK @ W8th (thank you Victor Dinaire), Boy George, Mark Farina, Scott Bond @ Roxy (Thanks Mello - and thank you for some kick ass lineups at carbon and exit), Gatecrasher@LL (thank you Alan Sax and the many events you do), Previously I HAVE A DREAM )THANK YOU STUCK ON EARTH and coming up *COX/MORILLO/HAWTIN/Hipp-E & HALO @ South St Seaport* and Boo6 <------ALL THEIR MONEY PUT UP *RESPECT*) etc etc etc

i saw Tiesto at Gatecrasher@Limelight a year ago, and the party was 10 times better. the vibe, the door people, the price, the aura, the sound.
<---------THIS IS A CUSTOMER LISTEN TO HIM!!!!!!

if the customers are complaining, dont try to shut them up, try to fix the problem
<---exactly

LETS NOT BE THE BIG BULLY ON THE BLOCK, LETS STATE THE TRUE FACTS.
Yes, take your advice and try that. Cuz this sounds like bullying to me.
<---no bias there, BTW WELCOME TO NY!! CHEESY LIL CLUBS HERE HAPPEN TO RAWK and have the blood sweat and tears of everyone from Madonna to Danny Tenaglia. PREACH ON!

SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO DEFEND YOUR TURF WHEN PEOPLE ARE TRASHING IT BECAUSE OF THERE JEALOUSY AND HATE.
Ummm unlike promoters CP peeps just tell it like it is. Who is hating on you? I know who but they didn't comment or post. I tried staying out of this but the way that first post came off was just elitest, ego-tistical and plain wrong. Calling it like I see it.

DON'T FORGET THESE ETHNIC BACKGROUNDS THAT YOUR TRASHING WERE ALSO AT CLUBS LIKE TWILO, TUNNEL, SOUNDFACTORY AND SO FORTH.
I didn't mention who the ethnic group was? Obiously you have one in mind though. And this group was never a predominant element in any of those clubs. MIXED CROWDS ARE NICE WHEN PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY AND SOCIALIZE. Look at who hangs out at a CP meet up like the Damn rainbow coalition!

BUT AT LEAST WE DON'T THROW PEOPLE IN CLOSETS WHEN THEY NEED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.
Don't go there, because I will flip ya and also say No Kidding but you don't have to! Seems you've been hiding them in Speakers!!

YES, OF COURSE IT WAS OVERCROWDED, BUT THE REASON WHY FOR THAT IS THE GREAT TALENT THATS BEING BOOKED.
<---come on, EX. NIGEL RICHARDS AND MELVIN MOORE 2 mondays ago at Sapphire Lounge (cap. 100 peeps, Thank you Carlos Santamaria, $5 to get in and $3 buds)

SHOUT OUT TO EVERYONE THAT CAME OUT.
<--- you crack me up Frankie Boy give shout out to the kids but then don't listen to what they say. Happy Medium anyone??

*Ok here come the phone calls and the screaming at Lainie from Exit Staff*

BTW Thank you Thorin for Informing me the Max Graham Tickets will be $30 here at Clubplanet this week!

I love you guys *Lainie cracking skulls and busting balls as usual*

HEY LAINIE,

ITS GOOD YOU WENT TO SCHOOL AND LEARNED A LOT OF LAWYER TACTICS, AND IT LOOKS LIKE YOU DID PRETTY GOOD IN HISTORY, AND ITS GOOD THAT YOU GAVE PROPS TO WHERE PROPS WHERE DO, BUT YOU MISSED A FEW! DON'T FORGET DENACE THE MENACE, SCOTT RICHMOND, MICRO AND CAFFEINE, FRANKIE BONES, ADAM X, HEATHER HEART, AND I DON'T WANT TO BORE YOU WITH MY HISTORY, BUT : FANTASIA 2, 10,000 PEOPLE, DOWNING STADIUM, MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, PARK RAVE MADDNESS/PRM ENT/ MADNESS ENT. NO MATTER HOW YOU WANT TO SPELL IT ITS JUST 1 LOVE... NUFF SAID

EVERYONE HAS THEIR POINT, THE CLUB DOES NEED TO PICK THE PEOPLE OFF THE FLOOR AND LET THEM DANCE. MAYBE THEY SHOULD OPEN UP A DOOR AND PUT A FAN ON, CAUSE IT WAS DEFINITALY HOT, NO DOUBT. BUT THEIR WAS ONLY ONE OTHER CLUB THAT DID THE SAME THING-TWILO

I CAN REMEBER ON OCCASIONS AT TWILO FOR SASHA, DIGWEED, CARL COX, PAUL VAN DYK AND OTHERS, WAS JUST AS PACKED AND JUST AS HOT. SO DON'T BE A HATER, JUST TO BE A HATER. YES, THEIR ARE PROBLEMS AND KIDS SHOULD STATE THEIR OPINIONS, BUT.... HERE IS JUST SOMETHING U CAN'T UNDERSTAND, THE PRICE OF THE DJS, PROMOTIONS, DISTRIBUTION, FLYERS, ETC IS ENORMOUS.

BUT, TO CONSTANTLY BASH A CLUB THAT YOU ALL COME TO AND PRETEND TO LIKE....NOW WHO'S BEING A BULLY!!!!

PEACE AND LOVE...PRM ENT/MADNESS ENT/OLD SCHOOL TO THE NEW SCHOOL

snuggles thinks exit is the big cheese in terms of capacity and djs. junior, go to Creamfields for a party with real DJs like Sander K, Sasha, Seb Fontaine etc (no disrespect to Tiesto), and the capacity of these clubs exceeds 30,000. and guess what, people go there and actually WANT to come back. its about respect, you respect your trade, your music and your clientele, people will be happy to come back and enjoy themselves. exit much like carbon before it is running on the fact that NYC is without large quality clubs like Twilo and Paradise Garage, clubs that would sink exit in a week. God, i wish we had Pacha in NYC. or Amnesia. mmm

Snuggles, you people epitomize the word:

GREED

WHY DON'T YOU LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS? DON'T YOU KNOW THE BASIC RULES OF BUSINESS???

Exit sucks -- most of us are disappointed that the DJ's we want to see (i.e. Tiesto, F. Corsten, etc) play at Exit, because we know it won't be as good as it could be.

Why is that?

BECAUSE GREEDY PEOPLE LIKE YOU DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE OPINIONS OF THE PEOPLE THAT ARE PUTTING THE $$$ IN YOUR POCKET!!

Please, just take an objective look at what people are saying here and try to make it a better experience, i.e. limit the amount of people, TURN ON THE A/C, and try to not focus so much on every last dollar you can stuff in your pocket.

let snuggles and every exit-head think whatever they want. block out what the real club-goers say and continue to run exit the same way. let's see where it ends up. see here's my little equation:

if customers = unsatisfied

then customers = won't come back

if customers = unsatisfied

and customers = say bad reviews

are customer = haters?

wake up pookie. can you be anymore irrational? please. just admit you're angry becuse the people who reviewed exit summed it all up in one word and it you right in the heart and it's true: greed.

please take like 1% of the money exit makes and fix up the attitude up in there. it's not much to ask. unless you want to hear more "hate" from cp people. you're just disappointed that tiesto had real clubbers going there but didn't enjoy it. the fact you know it could have been better pisses you off. i can go on but i won't. so you keep defending your turf and lainie will defend hers. only difference is we hold the money and we decide where it goes.

advice: suck it up and just give in. start there and exit will move higher.

UNDERSTAND, THE PRICE OF THE DJS, PROMOTIONS, DISTRIBUTION, FLYERS, ETC IS ENORMOUS.

BUT, TO CONSTANTLY BASH A CLUB THAT YOU ALL COME TO AND PRETEND TO LIKE....NOW WHO'S BEING A BULLY!!!!

Ok I understand that this post was to Lanie but I just have a little of my own input.

Yes the price of DJ's I am sure are through the roof. That goes without saying along with the rest of the promotional fees and what not...

But come on.

Admission at Exit = $40.00

Alchoholic Beverage 1/2 Filled with Ice mind you = $15 +

Water = $5.00

Gatorade = $5.00

Coat Check = I don't know. Never wasted my time on line. Left

it in the car...

Watching a bouncer take money out of a kids hand for no reason what so ever. When asked " what are you doing with my money." Bouncer replies. " What I find I keep." =Priceless !!!

I mean come on that is the employees that are kept in that place. And no the kid was not dealing. He happened to just buy a drink at the bar. Turn around walk towards that bathroom and I believe about to put his money back in his pocket.

I am sorry I am rambling but now back to the point...

Even though the extra fees are high. That obviously goes without saying. Between $40.00 at the door and your 1st drink, and coat check. Each person has spend $60.00 before they even hit the dance floor. I am sure the club brings in enough extra money to turn on some air. Shit even maybe just a cross ventilation system. But all the greed is gonna bring this place to the same place that all the other big name clubs in NYC are. Pad Locked...

By alot of your statements you sound like you really don't care for opinion. First off the door man did not even look down at my ID. So I am sure if you just started by eliminating the underage children in the club that would help a bit. I saw a few faces that looked young enough to be in maybe first or second year of high school. Second the place should hire a little more classy employees. Alot of the people in the place are out right rude. And I never come off as a rude or obnoctious person. So I really do not expect rudeness from the people who are supposedly there to help a customer like me out. And to keep the peace within the club. If people are laying down on the dance floor. I am sorry but first of all that is just discusting to lay on a dance floor so you know that person is not in there right mind. Pick them up and escort them either to help or to the door.

Your comment about other clubs being hot and packed. I don't get that comment. The effort that the club should be making is to not make the same type of mistakes that other clubs made. And to make improvements so that people tend to enjoy there stay and want to venture back.

Exit has the potential to be one of the best clubs in NYC. But as of now... And not to be a " Hater " it is on its way down hill. I mean what is better. To be greedy and try to make a ton of money fast before you get closed down. I would think it would be better to run a clean well operated business and treat your customers right. Not over charge them for everything. Respect the customers ( Your source of income. ) Keep the cities eyes away from the club. Obviously impossible to keep the cities eyes away but why get bad press. Shit make the place better. I would be shocked if ever I saw something good about a NYC night club in the news papers... The profits may not be as high as fast... But at least you will be able to stay open and continue making profits without any major lawsuits... Etc... Etc...

Anyway... I think I yapped enough for now...

Peace... For the love of the music damn it...

MAD PROPS to Lainie and all you peeps who told these money hungry whores whats up. You have covered just about everything there is to say to these fools and they still continue to retort with the same nonsense. I don't have much to add, but I found this statement kind of interesting:

Wake up buddy. You can count on one, maybe two things.

1) Absolutely noone who has been telling you what a shit job you did on Friday pretends to like that shithole you call a club.

2) I can't wait to see the numbers at your sweatbox begin to drop after people hear from us how bad it is managed. Believe me, I will not be going back and I am sure this is also true for many more.

Once again, props to all you guys for your posts. These scumbag managers need to have their gassed heads bombarded with the truth before they actually begin to listen.

EVERYONE HAS THEIR POINT, THE CLUB DOES NEED TO PICK THE PEOPLE OFF THE FLOOR AND LET THEM DANCE. MAYBE THEY SHOULD OPEN UP A DOOR AND PUT A FAN ON, CAUSE IT WAS DEFINITALY HOT, NO DOUBT.<---OK at least you were listening and seeing that it's just those kind of things that make people more comfortable and want to come back.

BUT THEIR WAS ONLY ONE OTHER CLUB THAT DID THE SAME THING-TWILO This is not Twilo! The only 2 people that Exit has had DJ that played at Twilo are Acosta and Junior, yes that will be changing but just to cover myself I will say this if a DJ that spun at TWILO makes the next club the new "TWILO" again Vinyl and Sound Factory are a step ahead along with some other of those "cheesy" clubs pre-mentioned. ex. DAVE RALPH, CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE played at SF for the Great American DJ Nights. Oh and yes Thankyou for patting yourself on the back for the examples you gave but I was mentioning events that have only recently taken place. If I listed every event from that far back I think the board memory capacity would bust.

I CAN REMEBER ON OCCASIONS AT TWILO FOR SASHA, DIGWEED, CARL COX, PAUL VAN DYK AND OTHERS, WAS JUST AS PACKED AND JUST AS HOT. K, Foot Note STUCK ON EARTH for this particular event at South Street Seaport is limiting capacity too make is comfortable they could have done more but are trying to make the event quality and we are talking about a TENT and a ARTIUM in SSSP. Which they are rigging with Heat and Air for comfortability.

Who are you talking to??? Lol I have been there and you find way of cutting down the budget. Do you even know what the word hater means???? No one is "HATING ON YOU" lol We sold a shitload of tickets for exit the other night. We want this to succeed, but we don't deny our people, we listen as to accomdate them and improve so they are happy and stay.

BUT, TO CONSTANTLY BASH A CLUB THAT YOU ALL COME TO AND PRETEND TO LIKE....NOW WHO'S BEING A BULLY!!!! Who the hell complained that is a Exit regular??? A lot of these people haven't gone back there in months for a variety of factions. This was a first time for a lot of our people. Most are giving the club a second chance because of the music, but will leave if treated like cattle. The main focus was not bashing the "CLUB" (meaning venue) or the music, people felt uncomfortable physically because of the heat and sloppy clubbers. Just something that can be worked on to improve the quality of a venue that has great lineups. This is where you break out the pad and paper and write the info down and really ROME wasn't built in a day. This is a new era for Exit, if week by week these things improve then the club will def be a Triple Threat. Crowd/Vibe, Music, and Physical Space.

:D Constructive Criticism is not Hating!

.................sums it up simply and without pulling out the dictionary.

Case in point.........my favorite club in the city, and I don't think I'm alone with this one, happens to be non-alcoholic, dark, mirky, bad sound system, people dress however they want to dress, the fee is $20-$25, very underground place that happens to harbor one of the best if not the best dj talents in the city. The difference maker is the music (of course), but also the vibe. Thats what set Twilo apart heads aned tails above every other club, the vibe. Bring the vibe into a nice place with some great talent and a great sound system, you got the best thing going. Good vibe starts with happy patrons, which isn't going to start until all the bullshit is eliminated. I'm not going to get into what the bullshit is because it was clearly stated earlier in other posts.

Everyone likes a nice club, no doubt, but not if they have to deal with bullshit. Your act has to be cleaned up before you can start making claims about your parties. Just a thought.
