digital7 Posted February 23 Report Share Posted February 23 One word to describe it: WICKED!Migs came on around 1:30 or so and dropped down some phat deep, funky house west coast style. track after track after track, the man was relentless on the tables. His mixing was superb and the vibe was bar none, the best on the beach. It was good hanging out with ol friends. Vaughan dropped by and made a cameo apperance, btw, thanks a bunch!! .. good hangin with the cp kru .. the coolness of the cool, coolassleo, suddenly appeared from the rafters and spread his coolness all over the place! overall, an excellent night .. 9 of 10 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
fat0ny Posted February 23 Report Share Posted February 23 It was quite a sight to see last night. It makes you feel nice inside when you look inside and the dance floor is covered in rain water. "Aquabooty" took on a whole new meaning last night, as everyones ass was wet. All was well. It was especially wonderful that the rain didnt stop the dance floor. Yea dryness is a good thing but its allways nice to see rain at Rain and a packed dance floor. The more I go to this place the more I apreciate how magical it really is. Migs was great. The people were great. But most of all. The connectedness that was going on in that room was great.P.S. rcrespo Posted February 23 Report Share Posted February 23 amazing night .. the rain made everyone go inside which was kind of wierd because everyone is usually on couches outside and still listening to the music, but as usual what makes this place special is the vibe , the people and obviously the music.Migs dropped an amazing set of lovely groovy basslines and some of the funkiest records Ive heard. Everything had soul and you never wanted it to end. DHM came on at around 4:30 and played a couple of tracks and that was it. I spent most of my night outside because I had an umbrella and it was very crowded inside. I met alot of nice people .. leo,lorraine,gary,joe and i saw the usual suspects from cp james,marick,anthony,monica,michelle,stacy,danny,mimi,lee,carmencita from que pasa usa and if i have forgotten anyone i'm sorry. I was constantly escorting people to the exit? Why anyone would want to leave before 5 is beyond me.. but I guess some people couldn't stand the RAIN. It was great to finally break away from the BroCo madness and hang with some old friends and meet some new ones! As always, danny, mimi, Ga2, pod, james, bbflux and of of course I can't forget my girl Stacey dropping in during the bottom of the ninth... awesome to see you guys!Migs was awesome, wish we got a chance to hang out with him a bit longer! Big thanks to Thomas for rolling out the red carpet and to the Aquabooty crew for making the whole LUST gang feel at home! Miami crowd definitely diggin it but it took about ten of us from the LUST gang to get the crowd all worked up chanting for Migs! Migs dropped a fw Soulfuric numbers... very nice, very nice.... they'll be happy! Sheldon and I had a hard time staying sober!
