3) David Mancuso - used to own "99 Records" and creator of The Loft - a God among djs

4)Shep Pettibone - The original studio genius and creator of 98.7 KISS NYC MasterMix's

12) Tony Rodriguez aka "Jose Chinga", to me the best of the Puerto Rican Dj's of Newark..(dogs Dj Hippy)

13) Mark Fotiadas - used to run Rockpool and another Dj at Danceteria, another Encyclopedia of Titles

14) Dave Krieger - Did The Lighthouse in Lake Hopatcong back in 79-82 - not really famous but I had many fun nights there and his mixes were memorable to say the least.

15) Dj Kool Herc - creator of scratching and a Bronx legend among the old school, taught Grand Master Flash his cuts

I remember when Tony used to be the resident at Tempts(yes is did see him there). Great DJ and a really good person..Super cool! Besides him, that list is full of has beens. Im all about the "old days" but to not include people like "Sasha and Digweed, Tiesto or even Oakenfold is to be blind to what is happening in the clubs/music today.

COSMICGATE, I DON'T RECALL TONY HUMPHRIES BEING THE RESIDENT AT TEMPTS, I BELIVE IT WAS MIKE MCNIGHT AND HIPPIE WAS THERE FOR AWHILE.....THAT'S WHEN THE CLUB WAS OWNED BY JERRY ROTUNDA.....OR JERRY WAS THE MANAGER AND EUGENE WAS THE OWNER(WHATEVER).

Its 4:30 am on wednesday morning and I guess I'll respond to your comment -

1) Tony Humphries NEVER was a resident at Temptations, ever - He never played there in his life...

2) The Thread's question was "who's your favorite Dj's": Well the list I gave was a partial 1 to say the least I can remember seeing and meeting so many great people over the years - you call them "Has Beens" but the question was asked and I gave my response...I would take the time to go down the list and update you about what some of them are doing now but it's not worth the time to type out everything.

3) Maybe if the question was "Who is your favorite current / newer djs I'd put together a list some newer guys in it like:

Sight fer sounds

Dj Spooky

Moby Hall aka Moby (altho Mobys been around a LONG time too)

Skratch Piklz - actually Q-Bert

Rob Gee

Filthy McNasty

Erick Morillo (who is Tony Rodriguez's nephew - Tony got him started)

Adam Beyer

Enomine

Plastikman aka Hawtin

anyway I could go on but I'd rather play Quake 3 and kick FrumpsBieneke's ass..hehe For all of "us has beens" - good night, Greg
