  1. no worries sir, she is awesome...her and I were corresponding when I was also in Spain this summer. tell her I want to come to Formentera with you guys! she really praised it there...
  2. Balthazar and Goomba Johnny did so hand me $500! I swear! I even got to give a shout out on KTU
  3. OK, I wont continue to think of him as a disgrace to Cooljunkie. Â he's just a disgrace to himself, i guess-- Â he does some good things for the site as a whole though! Â thanx for being you, nick! :-* :-* :-*
  4. he writes a bit for CJ, and the rest of the time he helps sell canadian Theraflu and Nyquil
  5. god he is! I love it. maher is my god. his show rox my world and my mind.
  6. I just had an epiphany! I guess Saleen does manage to spark intense debate and conversation----but he really isnt RESPONSIBLE for it...the rest of us are...he merely says something so ridiculous that we all just go nuts responding and then he sits back in his CEO leather chair and clasps his hands behind his head. From an editorial perspective, this would be a wonderful thing to have!--a meathead saying things that get people ocnstantly interacting, a little controversy, etc.. in the end the site gets tons of hits.... so saleen is more of a subconcious advertisement. say something radical and obviously incorrect or just plain wrong....get everyone to reply a bunch of times...Cooljunkie wins, and our minds win... these political, social and economical discussions are so enlgihtening and enriching for all of us--- it is just ironic how it all comes out...
  7. dude, I won $500 that night! COme now, I even bought you drinks with it...respect!
  8. Ok ive only licked it a few times and it was one chick so maybe it was just her. I thought it was funny though, and always say it
  9. I'm waiting patiently for a persuasive response to this.
  10. so OK, let's let them die than! bye guys, sux for you. peace out. hope you had a good time while you were here! especially to all the millions of kids who just got it from their parents (which is a tremendous percentage of them)=== John i would have expected you to maybe think of that fact.... still love you though. platonically of course. wouldnt want to start getting gay here since that is, after all, what causes the spread of AIDS.
  11. these boys should practice licking the top of a battery...tastes the same
  12. good question. I'd love to see my favorite DJ spinning on the STAGE, not the elevated DJ booth, at Crobar...with a 21+ crowd of course...and I'd be sure to get a spot next to one of the speakers cuz some of the sound is lost in that massive place!
  13. since there are so many cars and gas stations outside of South Africa on that continent... :
  14. the spin stops here? Â sounds like someone eventually lost their argument and is backing out. Â Do I really have the last word? Â Must be going home at 4:15 pm after a rough Friday as CEO of an internet canadian cough and sneeze sinus ache stuffy head medicine vending company. ;D ;) ;)
  15. your argument is becoming more tailored, im actually kind of proud of you. but your still wrong. We were speaking specifically about AIDS drugs. AIDS is a deadly PAN-demic, much worse than an epidemic. Pain killers...now I can see patenting that for 7 years! Our threshold for pain is pathetic here...and believe me, im the first to crave a perc when ive got a headache. gimme that and a glass of wine...ill gladly pay premium price for a non-generic perc and a bottle of Mondavi select to ease my pain. But AIDS kills Millllllllllllions of people. It doesnt give them a headache. Patents should never exist for that amount of time (the r & d costs are wayyyyy recovered in that amount if time) when so many precious lives are being lost. When life is lost, that's it, man! that's it! How sad is that???!! patent an AIDS drug (non NIH financed and developed in initial stages) for a maximum of a few years and offer it to non-western 3rd world countries for significantly less in a pandemic situation. that is my argument.
  16. Sorry, it's 30% of their revenues...not 3 times as much, I had my 3's mixed up. I'm really reaching back into my memory for this....I'll find somewhere where this was published, I know there was a senator trying to get an ACT passed trying to get drug prices lowered by limiting the amount of money pharma co's can spend on marketing.
  17. yes you can. Â You can get generic drugs versus the originally patented drug. Â Generic drugs cost pennies, the others cost dollars. Â
  18. blah blah blah. Â The former head of research and development for Pfizer once said to me in an interview: "The bottle costs more than the pills inside." Bottom Line, kiddo. Â you can claim fancy economical terms all you like--- it wont confuse me and only some of it will be semi-relevant. DRUG COMPANIES SPEND 3X AS MUCH ON ADVERTISING AS THEY DO ON RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT. please defend that one too...id love to hear it.
  19. And are you sure that's your website? I thought the guy who ran that show was Stephen Wiseman at Canada West Healthcare. I'll investigate.
  20. HAHAHAHA! Â I really dont care about your "we sell drugs" campaign! Â or your scriptsxpress. Â I went to that website. Â Dude you sell canadian drugs because our country overprices and the entire world knows that we let people die since the pharma lobby is the strongest---it has been the richest industry for over 30 years. Â PS that website sells medicines that help heartburn and stuffy noses, not deadly pandemics. Listen, Nick, I'm not trying to toot a horn here, but when I was at ABC I worked on a specific gutwrenching story about this...Through the course of a year I developed this story with a team, we watched people die who couldnt get the drugs...I devoted all my time to learning about this and developing a story profiling Aids in Africa and the people it was killing...I spoke with the people who invented some of the very first AIDS drugs still being used today...And let me add they were working for the NIH at the time, which means the US government funded initial stages of development (the riskiest and costliest) which means our tax dollars were spent FIRST,....then they were handed off to drug companies to further develop with THE "REASONABLE and FAIR PRICING CLAUSE" in the contract which stated that drug companies must be reasonable and fair in pricing and patenting if the drugs ended up being successful. Â No one ever followed up on that clause. That was the heart of my story. Â
  21. she's already enchanted them herself -
  22. The only real relevant point you made was condoms. You are correct, education is the real way to solve this (and most) problems. This is why I constantly used to try to enlighten you, but I eventually gave up. Moving right along, the heart of the issue is Pharmaceutical companies patenting their drugs and overcharging patients for a minimum of 7 years, claiming the need to make back monies spent on R & D. There is a lot of bullshit in this, which i dont even want to get into because it's so complicated... I've worked on newsmagazine pieces on AIDS in Africa that would make you want to tear your heart out and puke all over it.... and it is immensely offensive when Pharma Co's and Dirty Presidents try to mask it all by offering programs that will do little to really rectify the situation... Granted, this is a big program he is going to try to implement...but I'm more inclined to believe it is a re-election tactic and Congress will never give that amount of Money to help fight AIDS in Africa. But for the moment, the blind minds of the general american public will "ooh" and "ahhh" and maybe the polls will go in Bush's favor for a bit.
  23. stoopid peepul shoodint try to talk politiks with smart peepul
  24. [gasp] Why does that make "sense?" You have me speculating several different things. and nah, I dont know and writers in LA. Just ny.
