  2. Try the Liberty Inn on 14th St. and 10th Ave. Rooms go for about 70$ a night. Close to all the clubs. ------------------ Nestor "That's House!"
  3. Frankie Magz? Baez???? Yeah, if you like train trax drum roll shit. DT is UNDERGROUND all the way baby, the true NYC sound. The other guys are good for Joisey. See you at Abyss, NOT! ------------------ Nestor "That's House!"
  4. Bills gotta get paid! I run a site too and it's pretty expensive. This site is pretty big and has a lot of info. I doubt any of you would pay to be here. So deal with the ads, it's the only way. Peace to all, let's chill! ------------------ Nestor "That's House!"
  5. You can hear that stuff over at http://www.dezmix.com Peace ------------------ Nestor "That's House!"

  12. Just check my reg date and it says Nov. 98, although I think the right date would be around Dec. '97 or Jan '98... It's all good though! Peace! ------------------ Nestor "That's House" [This message has been edited by Nestor (edited 06-17-2000).]
  13. Although the system at Twilo is good, only when Jr. is on does it sound clear. I think that Exit is probably better since they are consistent. But yeah, Twilo beats Exit but only on Saturday night. I would list good sound systems in this order: Twilo Exit Vinyl Roxy Now clubs that are no longer around and would probably kick all of the above asses are: Paradise Garage Fun House Tunnel (88-90) Peace Nestor
  14. Yo POX, have you heard the remix of "Mariah's theme" by David Morales? Really sweet song. There are many other good vocal trax out there, go to my SITE to listen!!!! Peace Nestor
  15. That's great to head DAS! I'm a long time AVH fan, used to hear him on KTU in the early 90's and the man can tear it up with shit no one else has. Too bad I didn't know about this party or I probably would have went. And I'm glad that Centro-fly is getting looser with the door. I was rejected there once because "no single guys" policy. But I think the truth was that I'm not as attractive as the "model type" people they were letting in, single guys and all. That night I missed Tony Humphries and the Bassment Boys, House music legends. Peace

  23. I think Twilo is charging $35 because all of it's parties featuring big names will soon see low attendance numbers. Friday night I saw many people that looked bored and probably won't be back. This is the first time I've been at Twilo in about 6 months so I don't know how there other nights are doing. But when a club begins to charge ridiculously high prices, it's because the end is near. Same thing happened to Limelight and Carbon. I could be wrong, though. Nestor ------------------
  24. Agreed pOOh. I really liked the stuff Sahsa was spinning, espciall the more techy-sounding hard house. At times though, it did get too dark and boring, but that wasn't the case all night. Lets face it, Trance is dying, well, not hear but over in Europe. All those producers are now jumping on the deep and dark bandwagon. Fortunately, we have the real suff here in NYC anyway by way of Mr. Danny Tenaglia. If you guys want to hear the real thing, go to Vinyl on Fridays. It seems Danny's set a the WMC influenced a great many number of people. Nestor ------------------
  25. BULLSHIT! Forget about all the "trendy" euro crap and listen to some REAL home grown AMERICAN Dance music at Body n Soul. Your Fathers House???? YO! Most of the crowd is in their 20's. The problem is that the powers that be have marketed you guys to death to brainwash you into thinking all the crappy euro shit is actually music. Just a little FYI, it AIN'T! America is the home of MUSIC. Wheather it be Jazz, Soul, R&B and even Rock. But the real innovation here was and still is dance music. It's still around, it's sitll VERY musical and NO it is NOT imported. The scene is dead because crappy DJ's that were just got into the scene think all the music is coming from the U.K. and you guys follow them like they were gods. Whatever. The big club scene is dead. It is very commerical and overratted. Just thought you should know. ------------------
