  1. I am here to cause DRAMA!!! This bored would get tired pretty quick without a little drama here and there! ------------------ [This message has been edited by Nestor (edited 05-23-2000).]
  2. That's what I said about him the 1st time he was at Roxy and was met with disbelief and opposition here. I'm glad someone else sees it my way for a change. BTW, I've been into Dance music since about 1977 so I also think I have a pretty good perspective on the subject. Also, what Trance was around in '86? House wasn't even off the ground in those days and the Euro people were into "New Wave". Trance only developed after American Techno made it big in Europe where the Germans made a variation called Epic House that one day was to be known as Trance. DJ's like Oakenfold and Sahsa just popularized that style because they have such good marketing strategies (minus real ground breaking talent). Another over rated DJ that comes to mind is PVD. 3. I'm here Bro! Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!!!!!! Hehehe.. Peace Nestor ------------------
  4. 1) Do you party drug free? y/n Yes! 2) when did you start clubbing? 1983, Funhouse NYC 3) when did you start "dropping" 1983, same place 4) when did you stop "dropping" 1985, I grew up ------------------
  5. Trance started from Techno and Techno started in Detroit. Get your facts straight. The Euro stuff is just a watered down imitation. Peace ------------------
  6. Nope! The best club in the world is Vinyl on Sundays when Body n Soul happens. Exit is a cool spot to chill but not for the music lovers. See you guys Sunday! Nestor ------------------
  7. Rally2K!! I'm good, just don't have as much time as I used to be on this board much. I have new position in my Job and it's taking it's toll on me. Hopfully it will get better soon though. And Hey! Glad you like my site. Over time I put much effort into it. I'm so greatful that NY Mag recognized. Getting much hits now cuz of it. Peace! See you at B&S if you ever go.. 8. Ah... Bedlem is going to have Twilo's Friday DJ's w/ Exit's crowd. Does that make it clearer???? Thank You. ------------------
  9. Na, that's not it, Twilo gets that kind of crowd EVERY week no matter who is playing there. Also too many guys go there. You'll probably have a better time in a smaller club or something. Peace ------------------
  10. It's really far baby. It's like a 3 hour drive all the way at the end of NJ near Delaware. I think, it's REALLY going to be Bedlem in there or more like a circus. LOL! Bessos~ Nestor ------------------
  11. No need to check it out. It's going to be like Exit Saturdays/Twilo Fridays. With the exception of Danny Tenaglia, the DJ line up sounds like Twilo Fridays. You'll get the Rave children there, but the NYC crowd will stay home because we can hear these DJ's here. What happened to Amercan DJ's? What about all the Detriot DJs? Do something different other than Cox, S&D, Van Dyk and Oakenfold. They are played out. F**K the British invasion. And No, I'm not opening a club. But I do go to clubs so my opinion matters just as much as yours because many other think as I. And you've heard that expression before about one bad apple. Good Luck on the club opening and do the right thing for a change. Nestor ------------------ [This message has been edited by Nestor (edited 05-16-2000).]
  12. This post shows why the Joisy scene will always be lacking, even A/C (what's that air conditioning?). Tranza told it like it is. Peace ------------------
  13. I agree! The clubs suck. The big ones that is. NY used to be the dance music capital of the world but no more. Sad but true. Peace ------------------
  14. Yes! I went there when "Nightmare" by Brain Bug was big back in like '97. It was an okay club but the sound really sucked. Hoped they did something to it. Also, they had a lot of tables in the dancefloor area. Hopefully all that has changed since the grand reopening many numberous times now. So that's the place DJ Deep is going to be??? Let's keep our fingers crossed. Nestor ------------------
