  1. Joel Zimmerman doesn’t like being called a DJ. The dance music phenomenon from Toronto, better known as deadmau5, rolls his eyes at the description which he sees as a hopelessly outdated way of describing what he does. His sets are closer to live performances as he assembles tracks on the fly using cutting edge computer technology including software that he’s helped to write himself. Start 2014 off right as deadmau5 takes over Mansion Nightclub fo a special unhooked performance.

  8. Bass Kleph is focused on taking live/DJ crossover to a new level. His free-flowing sets open with live jamming on the Native Instruments Maschine sampler, segueing expertly into the kind of DJing you get from an act who's had 12 years behind the decks - and then swap freely from live performance to DJing and back again.

  10. Composer and technologist BT is one of the most cutting-edge artists and producers for a dizzying array of musical styles. Whether composing intricate scores for blockbuster films such as Fast and Furious, and the Oscar winning Monster; writing and producing for Sting, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel and Madonna to creating cutting edge proprietary software tools from scratch to make it happen - BT is at the heart of it all. Juxtaposing memorable songwriting with sonic innovation and hand- designed technologies, BT crafts classically influenced, electronic overtures, ringing with living textures that are an industry source book of new and highly copied signature techniques and ideas.
  11. American producer, Andrew Chen aka Shogun, is the first Asian DJ and producer to be signed to S107/Armada. Whether it is remixing for the world's number one DJ - Armin van Buuren, or for Grammy nominated singer and songwriter Nadia Ali, Shogun's productions have gained him full support from the biggest names in the industry including Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, and Markus Schulz just to name a few. With some of the biggest anthems to date, 'Save Me', 'Imprisoned', 'Run To My Rescue' and 'Skyfire', Shogun has cemented his place as one of the most influential and biggest trance/progressive acts today and his songs have regularly been featured on the world's leading radio shows such as Vonyc Sessions, Trance Around The World, Corsten's Countdown, Global DJ Broadcast, and A State of Trance Radio Show - [32 ASOT plays / 5 Future Favorites]. Voted into the DJ Mag 2011 world rankings at #122, Shogun has headlined events across the globe and also served as resident DJ for the prominent Ministry of Sound nightclub for over 3 years. His exclusive nine hour sets at the superclub set the standard for epic nights that can only be described as an emotional and amazing journey. These sets were also broadcasted live on Ministry of Sound Radio to thousands of listeners worldwide. With the constant productions of top quality releases and the DJ skills to rock the best clubs in the world, the future is already written for this rising trance artist.*
  12. Only a select number of modern trance artists can convincingly say they are taking the sound to the next level. Although the humble, softly spoken duo would never shout it out themselves, Super8 & Tab are undoubtedly among them. Renowned for their innovative approach and intricate production values, the Finnish producers have stealthily pushed themselves to the front of the trance pack since coming together in 2005. Now an integral part of the Anjunabeats family, Super8 & Tab released their debut artist album “Empire†in 2010 and “Empire: Remixed†in 2011, combining deep, brooding vocal anthems, classy downtempo excursions and futuristic trance fusions. An instant classic, it prompted Mixmag to write “It’s a rare and wonderful thing to be blown away by an album on first listen. And that’s exactly what Super8 & Tab’s debut artist album does.†In 2012, Super8 & Tab added even more classics to their arsenal of floor filling tracks with three chart topping mixes of ‘Black Is Back,’ which features the vocals of former Gabriel & Dresden collaborator Jan Burton and ‘Awakenings,’ a techie banger that’s continued to be a fixture in DJ sets around the world. They played massive events such as Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Global Gathering, ASOT 550 Den Bosch and numerous club gigs in Ibiza, Canada, the UK, and their home country of Finland. Be on the lookout for new music and slamming remixes coming soon from the duo who is leading the charge of the Scandinavian trance revolution!
  13. It’s a story that smacks of hard graft, an undeniable passion for music and a true talent for reading the dance floor. At 12, Danny picked up his first pair of decks. By 13 he’d saved enough money from playing friends’ parties to buy his own production set-up. At 14 he left his friends and family to relocate to Madrid to give himself more exposure to music and continue his education in music production. The move paid off as the young Spaniard was spotted by none other than Fedde le Grand during a warm up set at Benidorm’s Ku Club. By 16 years of age he was already crowned Vicious Magazine’s ‘Best Newcomer DJ’ – a reputation earned solely on his prowess behind the DJ booth and still to make his first official production (a rare feat in the current climate of Producer-then-DJ). Showing an ability beyond his years to lay down sets oozing with tribal heat and huge energy, rich in track selection that burst beyond the confines of the Beatport Top 100 charts, it wasn’t long before Avila was snapped up by the more legendary venues in Spain – hardly surprising for those who followed his early career. In 2012, after earning his stripes in illustrious company thanks to early headline slots with Fedde le Grand, Martin Solveig, Afrojack, David Guetta and the Black Eyed Peas, Danny confirmed not one, not two but three residencies in Ibiza – at the jet-set hotspot Blue Marlin, Space Ibiza, and at the personal behest of Tiësto, the legendary Pacha Ibiza where he appeared alongside the iconic Dutchman for an unbelievable 15 dates. A staggering 35 dates in total across the season, Danny Avila had well and truly landed on the White Isle. While Avila was busy wowing the crowds in Ibiza, on the other side of the Atlantic, the powers that be were also paying attention. Stateside broadcasting behemoth SiriusXM, the largest purveyor of dance music on the North American continent, snapped up the teenager’s ‘Ready To Jump’ show without a moment’s hesitation, making him the youngest EVER prime-time resident to grace the airwaves – and this before Avila had even dropped a single beat on American soil. Since September 2012 Danny has graced the decks of North America’s biggest festivals and most legendary dance floors, with huge sets at Coachella, Ultra Music Festival (Main Stage), EDC Vegas, Chicago and New York and Beyond Wonderland to the show-stopping Generation Wild Tour which saw him team up with fellow upstarts Deniz Koyu, Mikael Weermets, dBerrie and celebrity bad-boy photographer Kirillwashere to take the Eastern half of America and Canada by absolute storm. Miami, New York, Montreal, Washington DC, Ottawa, Boston, Atlantic City, Albany, Madison, Pittsburgh, Philadephia, Syracuse, Toronto and more fell under the spell of the undeniably talented teenager with fans increasingly clamouring for more. Add to the whole concoction his debut production ‘Breaking Your Fall’ which was released on Big Beat Records, his first official remix for Skylar Grey’s ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’ on Interscope Records, his first official compilation album for none of than the mighty Ministry Of Sound Records and upcoming track ‘Voltage’ on Dutch powerhouse Spinnin’ Records and you begin to see the trust and faith that the music industry is laying at the feet of Danny Avila. With his international presence growing day by day, his Ready To Jump show now looks set to broadcast his sound to some of the world’s most prestigious radio stations and to the ears of millions of eager fans. Oh – and if all that wasn’t enough, he’s not only spear heading the next generation of superstar DJ/producers – he’s also pretty damn prolific when it comes to anything concerning a board. Verging on pro skate- and snowboarder status, Avila’s also notched up 2nd in the Spanish Wakeboard Championships, 7th in the European Wakeboard Championships and 12th in the World Wakeboard Championships – as ever proving that he’s ready to jump no matter what the medium! There is, it seems, absolutely no stopping Danny Avila at whatever he turns his hand to. The future beckons, and it’s practically blinding.
  14. Paul Van DYK Grammy nominated artist, globally acclaimed DJ and audio architect Paul van Dyk continues to dominate the electronic music charts and appears at the pinnacle of every Top DJ list around the globe. PvD, as his fans have nicknamed him, has been ranked the World´s No. 1 DJ by DJ Magazine´s "Top 100 DJs poll" two times something less than a handful of DJs have ever achieved. * PvD is credited as one of the hardest working artists in electronic music, with sold-out tours that cross each continent, headline spots at every major festival, and a hugely successful recording career. With over 3 million albums sold worldwide, van Dyk travels around the world over 16 times each year to sold out performances internationally. On New Years Eve 2008/2009 Paul played Barra Beach to over 1 million people in Rio de Janero giving testament to his incredible popularity the world over. In 2008 Paul expanded into creating music for video games and movie soundtracks. His work with Ea Games has resulted in mulitple releases featuring his music on Mirror's Edge and Grand Slam Tennis out in 2009. Paul has also lent his talents to remixing Batman's "Dark Knight Theme" written by Hanz Zimmer. But Paul is no stranger to high profile remixes, he has put his unique twist on Depeche Mode´s "Martyr", Justin Timberlake´s "What Goes Around" and Britney Spears "Gimme More" just to name a few. His original album In Between released in 2007 and featured collaborations with David Byrne and Jessica Sutta of the Pussycat Dolls as well as Rea Garvey of Reamon and Johnny McDaid of Vega 4. * PvD received a Grammy nomination in 2005 for Best Dance/Electronic Album for his original album Reflections - this marked the first time Naras recognized this category. His original productions from Reflections have been synced into major motion pictures such as Into the Blue, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, television´s Entertainment Tonight and MTV´s Cribs, and international ad campaigns for Motorola, Hbo, Land Rover, Ski Vail and most recently for Jeep. This year he won the International Dance Music Award (Idma) for Best Euro DJ. * Previously, PvD won four IDMAs in 2006: Best Global DJ, Best NuNRG/Euro Track, Best Producer and Best Mix Compilation for The Politics of Dancing 2. In addition, PvD was voted "America´s Favorite DJ" for 2004 and 2005 by BPM Magazine and was the big winner at the 2004 Dancestar Awards, taking home 3 awards: Best International DJ, Best Event and Best Music in a Commercial (Motorola). He also won the Mexican Oscar for his soundtrack in the film Zurdo in March 2004. Paul van Dyk was voted "Best Music Maker" by DJ Magazine, received the "Best International DJ Award" at the 1999 Music Awards in London, was named "Best International DJ" by Ministry of Sound Magazine, and Mixmag elected him as "Man of the Year". * Aside from his musical activity, Paul van Dyk has always dedicated a significant part of his life to politics and social justice: from his youth, when he fled over the Berlin Wall to the West, to his children´s charity in India´s Mumbai, and his partnership scheme with the German Red Cross to help poor children in Berlin. In 2004, PvD was the only electronic artist involved in a nationwide tour with the Rock The Vote campaign, where he joined the likes of Bono, P Diddy, the Black Eyed Peas and George Clinton in campaigning for America´s youth to sign up to vote in the presidential election. He most recently received Berlin´s Medal of Honor (Landesverdienstorden) in recognition of his work with Ruckenwind, a charity organization he founded dedicated to helping poor children in Berlin. He joins a distinguished list of arts and political establishment figures with this honor. * Born in Eisenhuettenstadt, East Germany, Paul van Dyk grew up in communist East Berlin. Because his community did not have a true club culture, Paul van Dyk listened to the radio where he discovered his passion for music that extended beyond Techno music - he wanted to create a different, more unique sound. In the early 1990´s Paul van Dyk was spinning regularly at various clubs in Berlin before releasing his first album 45 RPM in 1994. But it wasn´t until the release of his second album Seven Ways which catapulted him into the Top 100, followed by the release of his hit single "For An Angel," which began to earn him praise across the globe. By the time Paul van Dyk released Out There & Back in 2000, it became clear that the Berlin-based musician had far more to offer than his signature club sets and remixes that had already defined him as one of the most influential DJs and producers of all time. His first compilation mix CD Politics of Dancing was released in 2001, followed by Global in 2003 - a DVD which illustrates his own experiences traveling the world. * Paul van Dyk´s touring diary remains incredibly hectic with regular globetrotting stops at major venues across the globe from New York, London, Ibiza to India, China and Singapore. In the little time remaining between all the travel, Paul van Dyk resides in Berlin where he has his own radio show "Paul van Dyk´s Vonyc Sessions" which airs weekly on the Area Channels on Sirius XM Satellite Radio on Thursday nights at 6PM Est (and rebroadcasts Saturdays at 8PM Est and Tuesdays at Midnight Est) and Soundgarden which airs every Wednesday 2pm - 4pm (Est) on Fritz radio and over the internet (www.fritz.de) as well as Galaxy FM in the Uk.

  17. The members of Adelaide, Australia’s Atlas Genius do things a little differently….They set about building a studio where they could write and record music for their newly formed band 3 years before they even played their first live show as Atlas Genius. For two years, they devoted their days to constructing their dream studio and spent their nights performing songs by The Police, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones at local pubs to pay the bills. “We really got down and dirty with dry walling and literally laying the floorboards, and at the same time we were taking a couple of days a week to focus on writing songs,†recalls Keith Jeffery, Atlas Genius’s vocalist/guitarist. “We had a lot of song ideas and it was important to us to have our own studio where we could experiment and hone in on our sound,†adds brother and drummer, Michael Jeffery. The studio was designed and outfitted by the brothers with the help of their father (who comes from a music and engineering background). Once the studio was complete, the first song that Atlas Genius finished was a song called “Trojans,†which they wrote, recorded and produced in collaboration with their friend, keyboardist Darren Sell. After many weeks tweaking the song, Michael insisted that the song was ready to be heard outside of the studio walls. Within an hour, “Trojans†was on the Triple J Unearthed Website, SoundCloud, and for sale via TuneCore on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify worldwide.
