yes...as we said before..there are NO good "dance" clubs in new orleans..but here is where I would check out... the warehouse district has some cool places to hear live music...one called the howlin wolf...also check out who is at tipitina's, a legendary place to hear live music..that is more towards the garden district... There also is another area with some cool places kinda past the french quarter..not sure what is there now but there were 2 places...cafe iguana and cafe istanbul that are cool...actually..one of the best underground house music parties I have ever been to was at cafe istanbul..this was about..hmm 1993...only a select few even knew about it..god damn now I'm getting chills as I said earlier..get a "gambit" paper as soon as you get there...also..you may want to call WTUL (the tulane radio station) and ask them what is going on.. have fun and stay cool.. -J ------------------ " I give in to sin ..Because you have to make this life liveable "-DM Smoknjilly@aol.com

I agree pete!! The thing I think is so funny..is that most of the kids who are so devastated have only been going to twilo for maybe...a year.. Ive been going since 96...and yeah I'm not happy about it..but I'm not acting like some of these people... I used to go to factory every week and stay till close...this is what I did.. relaxed..chilled out..maybe napped at the house till about 2-3 am..had my friends over my house..where sometimes we would listen to JP on the radio for a pre warm up from 3-5..or I'd play my own records.....then head out to factory and stay till close... yep..it was weird sometimes heading there after it was already light..but back then he didnt play what I wanted to hear till at least 5-6...the 9-11 sopt being the best..so why be crowded smooshed and hot in the club waiting around? anyways...those were the days!!
