Ive been in chicago since January.. I moved from NYC, i was a big clubber in NY (Twilo,Vinyl..) but not here! The club scene in chicago is totally lame.... but there are a few good places... RedNoFive (fri, sat) Transit (fri, sat) closes topo early 3am. RedDog (sunday , i think) CroBar (wed, thurs) Its more chill, chicago house.. nothing hard core like sash & digweed at Twilo 8am... If you want a guido hard house club.. checkout the mission in elgin... peace Jay

BUY TECHNICS 1200.. you can get them used for 300 each. The reason you need the 1200s is, if you continue djing for a while you wiull eventually need the technics and wont be able to sell your used geminies for shit. If you give up DJing you can sell your used 1200s right back for close to what you paid for it. WOW! sat - transit was my best club night in chicago so far... I actually showed up at Transit on friday at about 3am, hoping to catch the last hour... But the only one that was left was the doorman, and he was locking up!! So I made friends with him, and now will never have to wait on line at transit I got there on sat around 1am, I wasnt expecting much, definatly wasnt expecting a $20 cover... As soon as I walked in I liked the place, the setup was awsome, people were there to party... good vibe. Everyone was saying how much Transit reminds them of Shelter, they even have the same bouncer at the VIP room. (any shelter old-scholers here?) I go down stairs to chill.. I got rolls in under 2 minutes, I didnt even have to try hard at all. For some reason it impossibe for me to find a solid hook-up for rolls in chicago.. and all other clubs are either dry as a bone.. or they are selling shit for $30... The music(downstairs) was awsome.. but most of the songs were from 98 in ny... Only negatives were.. the bouncer for the upstairs vip room was a total prick.. and a fight almost broke out downstairs... overall.. this place has mad potential... plur dj jb

I used to go to S&D, DT at Vinyl.... some LimeLight... here in chicago... i hate cribar... like rednofive and just went to madbar mondays... everything else is pretty lame.... what do u reccomend?

I moved from NY 6 months ago... and still cant find a club with any energy.. maybe I need to hook up with some afterhours party.. Althou I finally made it to RedDog on monday.. it was pretty good. rednofive is good too.. where you guys usually go clubbing? I havnt been to berlin yet.. what night is good? jay

There really isnt much in chicago compared to NY... Here is the best of what there is... Mad Bar - small chilled place.. good music RedDog - Great on Mondays, mostly gay Glow - sat after 1, thursay RedNoFive - good party late saturday after 2 and friday... CroBar- saturday - hard house Aura - thursday .. Zentra - there really is no afterhours.....
