  1. First, welcome to the board. Yeah, Twilo used to have the 2k lounge on wednesday nights, but I think they got rid of it, too bad, use to be a good lineup of djs for only like 12 or 15 dollars, always wanted to go on wednesdays. Go to www.twilo.com for their new schedule, they redid their website and it has the schedule for the rest of the month.
  2. I didnt really like it all that much, I guess cause everyone told me it was a big club movie and that was what I was expecting. And the club scene they did show wasnt even all that great in my opinion. There were some funny parts, but overall I found it pretty dull.
  3. Her Tranceport 3 cd is one of my favorites, I also recorded the most awsome 1 1/2 hour live set from her from the 1015 broadcast page. Have yet to see her live. She's been at gatecrasher limelight a couple of times.
  4. I'm single, gonna be hanging with some pals at a good ol fashioned irish pub. No clubbing tonight for me, too expensive. besides, I'll be perfectly happy laying a nice warm kiss on my ice cold guiness.
  5. I'm not a huge Sasha&Digweed fan but my 2 fav tracks would have to be saint&sinners-pushing too hard, and Breeder-Tyrantanic(Slacker mix)
  6. The fastest would be 151. The best drinking high for me comes from Guiness or white russians, for some reason they get me hyper, my perfect dancing drinks.
  7. He has a residency at Centrofly, or at least he used to, it was/is the last sat. of every month, I dont think they changed it, then again I havent seen him listed for awhile. Thats where I saw him spin, really awsome night.
  8. www.satelliterecords.com , they have each song with a real audio sample, prett cool.
  9. I've heard Thursdays have been the best nights at Centro-fly, but I personally have liked Saturdays, especially when Plant DJ's like Roger Sanchez were spinning. Dress code is pretty relaxed and casual.
  10. Sister Bliss/Richie Hawtin/Dave Seaman/Adam Freeland - Renaissance Tour (this past spring, forgot which month) Binary Finary live@Gatecrasher tour (when I was studying abroad this past spring) Anthony Pappa/Dave Seaman/Slacker@Twilo in August (I think August 4, awsome night, mad friendly people, best crowd I have ever seen at Twilo)
  11. Jan 6th, Its about time she hit NYC!!!!!!
  12. I liked Picotto's set, but I didnt like the guy before him, the bald guy who threw down Hudson Street (I think thats the last track he threw down). Also I think the crowd on the dancefloor didnt get good till around 3, before that it seemed to be a bunch of frat boy types trying to start stuff and looking to randomly hook up. Bumping into you, etc, plus everywhere I turned it seemed like high school make out session, if you're gonna hook up, at least dont stand in the middle of the dance floor to do it. also there were a few Muscleheads that seemed to be acting tough to impress girls. Like I was dancing with this girl just havin fun and this kid rushed up and gave me a dirty look and all trying to act hard and snatched her up, I just went off by the stairs, whatever, I was just there to have fun not get into an argument over some girl. But around 3 when the music took off a friendlier group of people hit the dancefloor, nothing but smiles everywhere. Overall I had a good time, still, the early part of the night left me a little disapointed, mainly with the crowd where I was. Well, thats the impression I was left with, everyone will have a different perception of a night out, like you said, different strokes for different folks.
  13. Funny, I just burned an 80's mix last night, here's a few of my favs Cindy Lauper -Good Enough (Goonies) Video killed the radio star Bananarama - Cruel Summer (NYC!!!) Tones on Tail - Go! Faith no more - We care a lot Bangles - Manic Monday Aha - Take on me Eurythmics - sweet dreams You spin round Thats it, 80's are cool man, it would be cool to have a decade club in the city, culture club doesnt really count, something really hooked up, really decked out nostalgia wise, like that club in wedding singer, or have a 60's club like Austin Powers crib.
  14. Anyone know what time Mauro Picotto's set goes until tommorow. Its says Junior Vasquez afterhours, but the e-mail says different. I was plannin on getting there at like 12 or 1 if Junior's spinin at 5, so I can catch a majority of Picotto's set, but if he's going to spin till like 8 in the morning, arriving at 12 or 1 would be kinda early. Anyone know what time he's scheduled to start and finish? [This message has been edited by dv8 (edited 12-15-2000).]
  15. Thanks gqsmuv, but the version I was actually looking for before was the YOMC mix, have have both the YOMC mix and the On The Beach mix, thanks anyway.
  16. haha You're 27 and you're worried about being too old, no way, most of the crowd is in their mid twenties. I've seen people in their 40's and 50's dancing on most of the nights I've gone, 27 is the perfect age, I never really noticed one type of age group with Twilo's crowd, its pretty mixed in terms of age.
  17. Sister Bliss Matt Darey Cass&Slide Tiesto Ferry Corsten Oliver Lieb
  18. Currently: Fight Club The Matrix Swingers Interview with the Vampire Aliens Braveheart Saving Private Ryan (at least the first half hour) Platoon All Quiet on the Western Front (1929) T2 Forrest Gump The Sixth Sense Titanic (someone had to post it)
  19. I have the greatest remix of that song: DJ mind X - Colours (YOMC MIX!!!) took me awhile to find this mix, definitely the best one. so if ya wanna grab it off me my napster ID is robnyc22, just let me know you're from clubplanet so I dont cancel you out.
  20. live - Sister Bliss CD - Anthony Pappa, Nubreed If I had to narrow it down to just one in each category.
  21. "Cowgirl" by Underworld I love that song, I remember looking for it awhile back too.
  22. Centro-Fly is awsome, have been there a couple of times to see Roger Sanchez. Haven't been in awhile though, they could hook up their lighting system a little more, and make it so it doesn't blind you when you look up. From the times I've been, I think Centrofly is the one of the best clubs in the city, on certain nights. Next to Twilo it's the only club in the city that gets a revolving list of internationaly respected dj's spinning, though Limelight is stepping into the mix with its Gatecrasher residency and other DJ's its had spinning there. I think its cool, with more clubs get awsome revolving lineups like Twilo, CentroFly, and Gatecrasher, just makes NYC clubbing better. [This message has been edited by dv8 (edited 12-06-2000).]
  23. OF course I dont take his post seriously. Come on, do you think that I think that this Bastardino actually thinks. Of course not. I dont take this post seriously at all, There is another board where I do my serious posting. I was actually posting to support mareluna, the one intelligent voice on this thread, cause I'm a sober clubber myself. Otherwise I never reply to threads such as this. The rest was just me giving my 2 cents cause I was bored. [This message has been edited by dv8 (edited 12-05-2000).]
