I heard that certain areas of SI stink because of the Fresh Kill garbage field. if you live around the Staten Island Mall area will the smell be present most of time? i m looking for a house and im consindering Staten Island as well as Edgewater. i also saw a house in Greak Kills. seemed like a decent neighborhood. if i move to Staten Island it will be south of I-278. any advise on S.I will be appreciated.

thanks for your positive replies.. actually i am almost 30, not 28.. i will be 30 in march(now im really old) all my friends from college are married, some already have children and i am still single and find myself post on clubplanet.com which is used mostly by younger people. sorry if i offend anyone my age.. i just feel old. i need to get myself a young fresh 19yr old girlfriend to feel young again. lol

you sound like a narrow minded person who doesn't go out much. strip clubs are fun especially when you go with your buddies. i had such a blast when my friend has his bachelors party at Flashdancers. NY/Nj has a bunch of strip clubs. it' s fun to go there once in awhile and have drink there. some are sleazy but the good ones have pretty attractive and smart ladies working.

nyc can be a very lonely place for newcomers. your best bet to make new friends are still the traditional places: work, school or church.

i already checked FT lee out too.. and it's still under my consideration. .. yeah i like edgewater better than teaneck but thing is im more intersted in a decent sized house than an apartment type condo. thanks for your inputs..

Sorry for another OT real estate question. As a young single person i thought i would ask people on this board about this. Im looking to purchase my first home and narrowed it down to teaneck or Edgewater NJ. i really want to buy a house rather than a Condo so i m leaning towards Teaneck but Edgewater is more hip and younger neighborhood. anybody care to make opinons especially about Teaneck?(i found a house in the good side of teaneck on Johnson ave near Bogota)

actually the condo is 7th floor up and it's right besides the meadowland(grass and water) hmm.. thanks for pointing that out, i 've never thought of that.. is the smell unbearable in the summer?

well the condo i made an offer on is about 2 miles away from meadowlands.. what do you mean it doesn't spell great when it's hot and humid???

anyone have opinions about secaucus? i think it's a nice quiet neighborhood and very close to the city, only 5 miles.

im sorry for posting OT real estate questoin again but im still shopping for my first home and today i saw a 2bd room condo in Harmon Cove towers in Secaucus, NJ.. i really like the area, it's quieter and cheaper than queens.. anyone live around the area or familiar with it? if so please advise on pros /cons of living in secaucus.
