1. dOUBLE FUCK, wish I had known earlier.
2. This is something I think everyone should have and will anwser everyone bootlegging needs without jepordizine our future credit ratings. check out www.freenet.sourceforge.net. Shareware at its finest, no one knows where it comes from or where it goes, like nap or gnutella but better. it was created by a 23 year old information anarchist for his fight against censorship. Get it now! parish
3. If you liked that shit, try this it will be around a lot longer. www.freenet.sourceforge.net Like gnutella, but with one added bonus, perfect anonymity. Nobody where it comes from or where it goes. Made by a 23 year old with a vendetta against censorship of any kind, the revolution has begun! parish
4. I would agree with most everyone else on the board, it's all about the vibe and music. Without either the party just isn't a party. Leave the dress-up part at the lounges and the snobs in the upper west side bars. Whats the point if you are going to sweat your ass off you should be comfortable. On the same token, there is no reason to come out smelling like left over cheese and looking like you just woke up from a fifteen year disco-nap either. There is enough gear to be trendy yet comfortable on the floor.
5. The monthly Emergency Room nights @ Disco 2000. If you were there and got to see the doctor for a prescription, you went home in an ambulance. I also think that Keoki was a pretty big influence as far as future music tastes and how I got addicted to it.
6. Try any of the record stores in the city, especially Sattelite records on bowery or eightball on ninth.
7. Yeah that would be a great thing for NY and Johnny. Hope that it goes through. I think that he just as good as Junior, maybe not DT but he is up there. More high profile residents in the city is a good thing, we need to have more regular nights. Perhaps maybe a little more variety though.
8. If you are into mailorder, go to http://www.urs-dancemusic.com it is in Orlando, FL. They are pretty upfront and have a good catalog. parish
9. Wow that sounded pretty aweful, I thought I had a beat weakend. I just got really lazy and didn't do anything. But losing your dog is horrible. My little 'man' is means more to me than anyone else, almost, and I dread that day. So our hearts go out to you and the loss of your loved one. parish 'dog rule, cats drool.'
10. Its just been rereleased with a Timo Maas mix that fuc*ing rocks! Forget which label but its out now at all the shops. Go get it!
11. Hey, Just wanted to tell you all @ a party on Friday @ Chaelra(330W.38th st.) thrown by the infamous TOUCH brothers. Residents Billy Shane and Sean Hall will be dropping deep trance and hard house to what is always a really up-for-it crowd,(Think S&D when they first started in NYC, older & wiser & off the hook). Should be good only 10 on the guestlist . Hope to see you there. parish
12. See you all there!! Anyone doing a meetup?
13. Trance is a hybrid that has and will moroph with other styles and keep growing. It is also a state of mind that can be brought about by any type of music, a good DJ and a great crowd.
14. Went last night and left twenty minutes later. They must of turned all the AC's off and I was dripping wet after five minutes, at which time I wanted to leave. I spent the other 15 fighting my way to the door. Not sure who was playing but it was mad packed and there was no where to go.
15. It should be good... not sure though. I have mixed opinions about the crowd...
16. True James, We need to get Chris up here more, he has been producing some hot tracks lately. Just got a copy of his mix of a Fred Nuff track, smooth and crisp production. Parish
17. It will be released on Sporadic Groove and its Robbie and his partner Micha.
18. Same here, send email to thomaskm1@aol.com, I am about finished with two and owe a lot of people, but will send one your way too! parish
19. GO to Throb records on 14th btw2&3, Ask Prozac, they are roommates, so he knows about all of Johns work.
20. F*$k I knew I should have stayed, just couldn't take that crowd and no sleep the night before...
21. this one, go to the homepage!
22. I was a mob scene, but they played really well and feed off the crowd. The only thing that sucked was that you had to buy the CD before they would let you downstairs to watch or get your copy signed, already had one. But that night I was lucky enough to go to their release party at Pravda and chill with them a bit, mad cool night, Sean Hall was playing some cool tunes and an amazing open bar that kick my ass. parish
23. 1.Micro and Onions 2.Friction & Spice 3.Touch Brothers 4.Bonham and Simon 5.Keoki & the chicken Not necessasarely tag but who I like to hear together who did or do play together often. parish
24. Hi all, We've got four pairs of ticket to the July 13th show at Roseland to give away. Just check out the new homepage for details. Also got some tickets to Denny @ tempts w/ a copy of his new CD and tickets to Twilo for Adam Freeland (Sasha's favorite breaks DJ) and a copy of his mix for Ultra. Come and get'em! Parish
25. Seriously though, GO. You can go later and just deal with the crowds, but the music that rolled its way into the billboard top 150 charts this week probably won't be played. They are always redining themselves and each month is a different trip. So go already
