  8. i played with tigerhook on their opening night july 16th and it was off the hook. crowd is late-arriving but are definitely up for a good time and partying. it's funny cuz around 3 i got the sense this thing could go on for hours and then it ended. hit up deep c at soma monday nights. one of the best parties on the east coast.
  9. it's a great space and they have some nice talent coming through...this could be good. they need to have more press on this though
  10. I'll be kicking off a tour for the "Boogaloo, Brooklyn 3:23 PM" CD that is due out in stores September 22nd. Can't really think of a better setting to start it off then by playing my favorite club, Stereo in Montreal. If ever a time to check out this spectacular venue, I hope it's this night. It will be the second installment of Stereo's new night, Reset Tech. I will be playing a 4 hour set at Stereobar from 11pm to 3am. Then it's off to the upstairs for Mazi and Luc Raymond from 3am to ???. This has the potential of being a spectacular night. I hope many of you decide to make the trek up to lovely Montreal. You will not be disappointed in the music and vibe the club will offer this night. For those in Montreal I hope you find your way to Stereo for the evening. 11. richie mixes things up better than any other dj on the planet. whether its the atmospheric minimal trippyness of plastikman or his wide variety of electroclash to his pounding techno, he's puts on a show. you may not like every minute, but the way he weaves through a set is better than any other dj out there. not saying he doesn't have off nights, but i wouldnt' guess to be one of them for his bday. lets get dirty! hawtin, brooklyn:)
  12. boogaloo in brooklyn is a dope spot, just search it on citysearch.com for review. really nice spot for a few drinks and good music.
  13. this is hot...m'form parties are fantastic...great fun-loving crowd who know their music. and l&b are no joke.
  14. this saturday night or sunday morning however you want to look at it. always a wild party and it gets even crazier when erick plays. throw in the fact its his birthday, and you have one of the nuttiest parties of the year on your hands! if that wasnt enough, add fc kahuna to the mix! these cats are phenomenal talents who play a lot of electro, funky, fun tech house. real interesting music to say the least. they are playing early, so get to disco early. doors are at 5am.
  15. this party's gonna be hot, don't miss out on this one! and bring your dancing shoes!!
  16. ooops, listed the wrong date, got a little overzelous! sunday morn 3/28 apologies Deepak
  17. First, always a quick shout to thursday's Messy party. always a mess, and everybody is always welcome. Second, Sunday (3.28) morning beginning at 5am is party not to miss as disco resident and subliminal's main man, Erick Morillo celebrates his bithday with an extended set. (which means it will prolly be dark again when you leave the club) Joining Erick will be FC Kahuna, who are making their return to disco. so you cats into electro-techy-funky definitely need to be at disco for this. these cats don't play your standard tunage, and they are definitely worth checking out. sunday's (3.28) gonna be a massive party! BE THERE!
  18. Also, if you want to know the tracklisting, please click on this link below. Thanks! Deepak http://secure.globalbeats.com/top20.php?source=boogaloo
  19. James Holden will be spinning sat night / sun morning March 13 / 14 at discotheque's afterhours party. in case you guys don't know about it yet, the afterhours party is the only one in NYC that opens doors at 5am and goes until 5pm. If you want to find another venue that does this, you have to go to Ibiza. DJs such as Erick Morillo, Behrouz, Layo and Bushwacka! have played this party. And on the night / morning of the Sunday many of us return from WMC, it's James Holden's turn. If you don't know him, his productions get canned by DJs such as Sasha, Diggers and many other progressive house djs. So after Carl Cox, head down the block to 19th and join us for some continued mayhem. March 28th - FC Kahuna returns to Disco as they join Erick Morillo for his b-day bash. I played with FC Kahuna back in August at Disco, and these guys play a very different style than anybody else out there. Really unique stuff, and it's really good.
  20. he'll be playing with FC Kahuna too!! which is an added bonus. i played with FC Kahuna back in August at Disco and these guys play some very ecletic, differenty, eletro style tech house. definitely worth checking out.
  21. I'll post more details when the release date approaches.
  22. For fans of Radiohead, Tyrant, Plastikman (Richie Hawtin), Ellen Allein, Swayzak. the Buddha Bar Series and Paris Lounge compilations.
  23. compiled and mixed by Deepak Sharma There's a lot still to be done, but I can begin to leak some info to everybody. (not too much though) All tracks have been licensed and it has been mixed in the studio. We are closing in on our last steps which include adding the photography we want, and laying the CD out how we see fit. We are speaking with distributors now, and are working out the details. The name of the CD is: boogaloo, brooklyn 3:23 pm The songs on this compilation have been gathered from Germany, Spain and Detroit. A few of the labels include Regular, Deep Chord, Plong, Tranquilo, and Italic. Many of the tracks contain warm, ambient synths and soft rolling pads that you hear throughout which help set up the finer intricacies, quirky noises, and crunchier elements of the tracks. I think of this as more of a musical piece rather than just a mix CD with fourteen brilliantly produced tracks laid out in a manner that makes you relax, think out loud, and smile. Very trippy headmusic, perfect for afterhours. I hope when released, you will give this CD a shot. The idea for this compilation began in September 2003. It is due to hit stores in North America in Spring of this year. Please check back here for tracklisting info which I will list shortly shortly. Also, please feel free to email me at djdeepaksharma@yahoo.com with any questions you may have. Thank you Deepak Sharma & Chance Johnston
