tonight at Disco for subliminal...should be interesting and something out of the norm. mync project makes its nyc debut tonight at discotheque. they play house, from the deeper tip to the more tougher tribal angle. and i know the club has added extra turntables and another mixer for their "show" tonight. check it....www.myncproject.com. lots goin on this gorgeous thursday, hope to catch you heads late night at disco.

arc is a tricky place to play, especially for Tyrant. they don't play "big tunes", so if they are in a big room like arc, which is very bass heavy, it naturally takes away from their strengths, which is their quirky and trippy sounds. if you notice, all the spots they have played thus far aren't as big as arc. it was good, especially from 6 onward when they hit their groove.

packed or not, this one will be fun regardless. the party will go late, and peeps have to work, so maybe the crowd will thin a little later in the night. a few more hours to go!

at discotheque, manhattan. 2 hour open bar to add, should be a fun night and a nice way to forget about the world issues for a few hours. hope to see you there.

erick morillo's birthday party is at disco!

its going to be a kickin' party, one not too miss:) and it'll be a nice break from all the world drama who's down?

danny has been here for sometime now, he'll be sure to have some goodies for us, wouldn't miss this one folks. and danny, lay off the breaks at 7am!

pvd plays long sets?

looking forward to it...i hope he passes on the breaks....that always signals the end of the night for me. i'm not a big fan of breaks in general, so that may have something to do with it. i do like them here and there to mix it up, thats nice. lee burridge is the only dj where i can listen to a set of breaks. danny should drop them here and there throughout the night, not just at 7am for an hour. a pretty tough criticism to come up with, danny's that fucking good! and diegonyc is a schmoe.

dave morales will spin with hec romero:) should be a special night as the Def Mix family comes together to strut their stuff for us. dave has been spinning throughout nyc for what seems to be 20 years by now! for those who don't know, hec romero has to be one of nyc's hottest dj's at the moment with his current residency at filter. he also kicked off last year's hidden party at discotheque, so this will be his return. there have been numerous changes to disco over the months, if you haven't been in sometime, this is a good night to check it out. just ask for the hidden list from tasha, and that'll sort you out. hope to see many of you this week, and at upcoming events to discotheque in weeks to come.

what a fuckin party....native theory played well, laying down the groundwork for Morillo who tore it up nicely. the crowd was into it and vibin' off each other and morillo too. haven't seen peeps tear it up on the dancefloor like that in a long time! everything was ON last night, from the sound to the lights to the crowd to Morillo himself, and the vodka which was running like water last night. expect more great things from disco...if you have any questions about upcoming events, just shoot me an email at deepak@discothequenyc.com.
