the two best places for white kids are yup, astor cuts on forest, ask for jerry. Joe (who is right next to him) I think is better overall (who i've been going to for years until i discovered.....) in SI mall, go to the unisex place, and ask for Albert. Best tape for a white kid bar none all of Staten Island. And he does it in like under 2 minutes. Ermin is a good backup if Albert isnt there.

theres another new joint i been hearing about called whos next, its on Richmond Avenue near Victory blvd. I used to live there, and every time i drive by its packed with kids getting fades and they look sick. Don't know any specific barbers.

for black kids, theres that joint on bay street, near the train stop, and that other place on port richmond avenuue, but u dont sound black so never mind.

    What was Tunnel's body count?

All I know is that when the lights went on and there were people laying all over the place fucked up at 11am it was a scary thing to see.

    haha..

so where the frick are the six clubs that were being hyped by this year. so far i only see three..spirit, crobar, and marquee. I know Quo and Scores2 is in the works. What is the 6th...

just as an FYI: i was walking down 29th near 11th and 12ave, and they are working on the biggest restaurant I have ever seen. Could easily be a restaurant/club. 80 foot high ceilings, huge open space, elevated floors, but the contracter told me restaurant. wonder what it is..

    theyleft,

The new owner's are using it for a Event space...

kinda like a meeting place, wedding's stuff likethat...

and its very odd to be able to see inside it, its the main bar. and dance floor....of the old space.

    i miss tunnel

it's still one of those legendary space's

    oly<

as an event/gallery space def., but damn, those are gunna be some progressive weddings. must be what happens when clubbers get hitched..

on the flip, will be intersting to attend some one-off parties there.

  4. walked by again...

its on 27th so yea, i am assuming its definitely tunnel since I saw an old lighting truss still there, but, it's definitely under renovation. There is a work order permit up, and people designing in there. The space has a very unique look to it, kinda like Luna. Long and narrow. Steel beams. Could def. be a club again, since no walls are up and doesn't look like they are going up. You can peek inside from the west side highway entrance.

i've spent many an hour reading hofo. its the best forum by far about phones, but its based in canada, so wirelessadvisor is more helpful sometimes dealing with services.

if you ever think u know anything about cell phones, those fuckers will prove u wrong..heh..good luck finding what u need.

i believe there is a record distributor freeze every year after the holiday season forcing many (not all) retailers to not be able to update. This should be over by mid jan. I could be wrong.

Seriously, I didn't mean to make it seem that I was personally attacking him. He is a fine DJ I'm sure, just not up to the high standards that Crobar set otherwise.

Good local DJ's that you may want to consider are Ziggy (Exit White Room), Merritt, Morrillo (when he's not in Ibiza), and Low End Specialists. Of course, I am sure you know all the "big name" foreign DJ's that might be great for a single night or "occasional" residency.

Agreed. I think DJ Merrit or DJ Vibe would give Crobar the perfect party. They both play deep prog house/tribal geared hightly to the NY Crowd and would definitely complement Victor. These guys will develop a huge following as opposed to the one off international djs. Also, a Sasha/Diggers monthly I think would put Crobar over the top. Any monthly with them would lend credibility back to all true club lovers that were turned off by the glam and show.
