  1. I like soulseek because you can find tracks that you won't be able to find on kazaa or the gnutella network....does blubster have a good selection?
  2. http://www.dolemite.com has a good ebonics section.
  3. Personally I like Miami Beats....He released it under Tribal Crew though (off of beats and drums vol. 3).
  4. I wouldn't say it is going away, I remember a few years ago when you could walk into any major cd store and count the techno cds they had on your hands...now they have entire sections.
  5. My only rule is that you share, I have 30 slots open to the public and 60 open to my list, so download as many files as you please...soulseek name is CandG in case anyone is interested.
  6. I get mine from dancerecords.com .....moonshine has their releases for 4.99 on their website.
  7. Well, look at it this way, it won't be worse than seeing Louie Devito.
  8. Sneaky Petes was pretty bad this summer, I went on thursdays and the place was pretty much dead. The only party i went to that was packed was the New Years in July. That place had so many people packed in you could hardly move. On a side note: what the hell is with all these kids on motorcycles that come to clubs and just sit in groups in the parking lot?
  9. Lawler in Morillo could pretty much destroy any place, both of them are sick.
  10. I've yet to venture to Miami, as I'm not sure my Jetta will make it there. I'll go down at some point to see this kid Sacar I know (some of you Albany people probably know him). Most of Miami is 21+ right?
  11. I was going to go to SUNY Albany, but decided to go to USF in Tampa instead....i thought it was a good idea at first, but now I'm not so sure. No one in my dorm goes out, and hip-hop dominates here...If it isn't hiphop, it's Florida Breaks....I miss house:(
  12. I'm from the Albany area, and like everyone said, the only place that is decent is Sneaky Petes. The owner of the place is cool as hell, as he is an Elvis impersonator and walks around shining a flash light up girls skirts. I personally never went out to anything related to Lark street (the gay district of Albany) because it wasn't what i was looking for. I don't know if they're still doing the alive @ 5 thing, but it is basically a cheap way to get drunk, and see some decent bands in the area.
  13. I know about Peters and Vicious spinning at Sneaky Petes, but it is usually on a Thursday, as they have bigger parties on Saturdays....I've been meaning to go see both of them when they come, but something always comes up and I never go....I hope they come at least once more before I move. The sad thing about Albany though is that Louie Devito will bring in more people on the 27th than Vicious will on the 13th.
  14. heh, his career must not be what it used to be, as he is spinning on a saturday in Upstate NY...too bad I can't make the party, I'll be in florida:(
  15. shit, that was supposed to go under the other top 3 thread...i gotta pay attention to where i click...
  16. 1) Catscan - Rotten 2) Vaiio - Rapture (John Creamer & Stephen K Mix) 3) Johnny Vicious - Lets go All The Way
  17. When i was in France, i went to a club called macumba that pulled close to 8,000 in one night. That club was sick.....like 15 rooms, resturants, bars, and the lights/decorations/sound system were unbelieve.
