pros: - much much better nightlife than here in LA - don't really need a car to get anywhere - a lot of my friends are in ny - culture, diversity... ------------------

you guys out in nyc are really damned lucky!!! i miss my twilo days soooooooooooo much. at the end of every month i get so excited and then all down cos i realize i'm no longer living in new york. but i'll hopefully be back in may!!! we were lucky over here in la to hear digweed spin for his new gu cd. i totally felt it but it's not the same as when he spins at twilo cos his sets are longer and you just feel the energy build up throughout the night. ------------------ [This message has been edited by msbobois (edited 11-25-2000).]

sasha and digweed in january...not for new years but the end of the month when it was mad packed with people, the bathrooms downstairs were flooded and you had to pee on top of toilet paper, and the coat room was back to back you couldn't feel your feet touch the floor. pvd in may when they still had decorations up from s&d's 3 year anniversary. digweed in LA for gu 019. ------------------

had supermans earlier in the year. the girl i got them from brought them from london. not so good in my opinion. i thought it'd be really dancey and fun but it was mellow and lasted for a short time. ------------------

twilo of course...for the djs, the vibe, the people, the memories, the sound system!!! ------------------

spun a two hour something set in LA...you'll like d-fuse though cos he'll be spinning most of the time. ------------------

LOVE DEPECHE MODE. i used to record their videos way back when. favorite songs: just can't get enough and somebody!!! ------------------

never got to do meetups when i was living in ny!!! tried to do meetups here in la but unsuccessful for me. i'll be in nyc for new year's week. can't wait to meet everybody. what's up for new years??? ------------------

i went to the loveparade in berlin this past summer. it was on july 8 this year. there's also one in leeds and vienna(?). it's definitely quite an experience. if you're planning on going, make sure to make hotel and transportation reservations way in advance cos things get completely booked. even the trains. and as a suggestion...try going to amsterdam first, buy herb there (i read in the "let's go" travel book that you can have up to 5 grams of herb on you in berlin). also, be prepared for a long day and night...the parade starts around 1pm, for the whole day and then the parties begin at night. ------------------

went to amsterdam this past summer. since we backpacked for 5 weeks, we stayed in hostels which is the cheap way to go. if you want to do that...try the flying pig...we didn't get to stay there cos it was booked but you can meet tons of people there. they have a website and you can try to make reservations there. in hostels...there should be fliers for the coffee shop tours which i didn't get to do cos my friend's not into that stuff. funny. have lots of fun and be safe. i remember walking down the street and some dude came up to us and said "hey are you americans..." then continued on to say "be careful whatever you do here. i'm through with this place." and gave us a tiny plastic box with shrooms in it. also...somebody staying at our hostel jumped into the river with his friend's laptop computer...lots of drama...i dunno what he was on. cheers! ------------------

i actually liked oakie's set last night at the mayan. it was definitely a short set, i'm much used to s&d's or pvd's long sets at twilo when i used to go to school in ny...but oh well...what can you do about la? ------------------

i'm supposed to make it to vegas this weekend. nov 10-12??? not for any convention but about 10 of us are either flying or driving over (i'm from cali). send me a pm if you want to hang out. i say we are supposed to make it to vegas cos some of the girls have their plane tickets, the others like me are driving over but we all don't have a hotel room yet and i don't know where the hell they think we are sleeping cos the rooms should be booked up by now. ------------------

at least you feel good about it all!!! i want to quit my job and i just started... need to save a little money before i can quit. hee hee. ------------------

i love meeting people at clubs cos you get to meet the most interesting people - from different backgrounds, schooling, etc. but if people are not ready to meet you...then who really gives a kaka...just one less headache in your life. i do remember once at a pvd night back in may...i thought the crowd was so snobby. then i got up to the dj booth and just started dancing, turned around and saw the most beautiful girl. i'm not lesbian or anything but i went up to her and said "i'm not picking up on you but i just wanted to let you know that you are so beautiful." that totally made her day and mine cos then i started feeling the good vibes around me. ------------------

if my friend sent me e in the mail from new york, would that be a bad idea? say he baked me cup cakes and used e as the "sprinkles" on top of the cake. would that work? ------------------

don't forget your vicks inhaler (feels really good when blown in your eyes), vicks (or maybe it's halls) vitamin c cough drops, gum, and definitely always have a full bottle of water and friends you trust. ------------------
