  1. yes...especially a couple months after graduation! ------------------
  2. i don't know how much s&d make but here's what they said they would do if they won the jackpot in the october issue of "revolution": sasha: i'd probably buy the house that i'm renting at the moment in the countryside because i love it and i have to move out at the end of the year because the guy's selling it. and i've got a garden and i'm definitely going to miss it when it gets sold. i don't know how much it [the jackpot] would change things, really. i'd probably just go out and buy a load of studio equipment. buy one of those old analog keyboards that i've always wanted to have but have been just kind of ridiculously expensive, just very rare. perhaps take a month off, have a holiday. no gold bracelets. john: definitely, go to Necker island (Richard Branson's island), take a bunch of people out there. maybe buy an apartment in new york, one in san francisco, one in australia. how many more wishes have i got? there's something about new york, this really great buzz; i get really excited every time we go to play there. sasha: every time we get off the plane and see the sky-line, it's like, "cool, twilo!" john: i'm very happy, so i can't think of anything that would make me happier. sasha: i'd probably like to do something for my family, actually, my father and my mum. i'd take them somewhere special, buy their houses, or get them a nicer place or something like that. i've got my life sorted at the moment. anything that money can possibly buy is a little bit of extra time off. but to be honest, after a month i'd be absolutely itching to get back to djing. i'd hire an island somewhere and bring my family to hang out for a while and spend some quality time. it's all very boring, isn't it.

  4. that's so funny cos i listen to that cd in the night when all the lights are off. one night i was freaked out cos i was thinking "oh my gosh, i do hear voices...there's a ghost in my room!"
  5. last summer. tunnel. my friends from college and a friend from taiwan were visiting me for the weekend and decided to go to soundfactory. they wouldn't let us in cos my friends were under 21 so we headed off to the tunnel. before venturing out for the night, my friend halfed our e's and sealed them in plastic from a cigarette box. we were in the tunnel for 15 minutes. took the e's right in front of the bar like dummies...all of a sudden two huge security guards or whatever take my two guy friends away. we tried to follow them through a maze of people and finally lost them. so me and two other friends wait outside of tunnel as we see cop cars up by the lines. i'm pacing up and down the street and my two friends come running to me telling me that they were 86-ed and banned from tunnel forever. at this point everybody is rolling and decide to walk from tunnel to the javits center all the way to times square...ended up sitting there for a couple of hours watching the jello sign.
  6. i dunno... i guess it would be when i get married and start having kids. i don't want to be 60, going to twilo and all the people staring at me saying "ohhhh-kaaay!" but then again...if older people still have groove in their shoes...then who cares?
  7. i watched it with my mom! she kept asking me, "why are they acting like that? what's wrong with them?" with an asian accent. the ending when digweed was spinning was really cheesey.
  8. ok...i have to respond to this post even though it's an old topic and i'll probably be bashed by somebody or made fun of. i haven't been to twilo since the groove party back in may. now that i'm living in los angeles, I'M ITCHING TO MOVE BACK TO NEW YORK...ITCHING TO GO BACK TO TWILO. i don't post much but i read the board often. i know a lot of people here get that feeling when they know it's a few hours even a few days til twilo time. your heart starts beating quickly, you get all jittery, can't concentrate on anything, you feel like you're about to explode with joy and all you can think about is that "feeling" you get when you're at twilo. what is it about twilo that makes us feel that way? definitely the music and the vibe you get off of the other people. who cares that twilo gets packed like sardines, bathrooms are overflowing with kaka, you get burned by someone's cigarette, or come out of the club in the morning with that twilo stank... most of the time you come out of there and all you can say is "damn"...and you can still hear the music in your head when you're trying to sleep. i went to twilo cos of s&d but the two hour trip from my college was even more worthwhile cos of the incredible vibe i got from all the people. and as for those 18 year old asian kids...i'm way past 18 but i'm asian...like that really matters. all i can say though is that those 18 year old asian kids KNOW HOW TO DANCE...they blow me away. that's all. i need to get my unemployed ass back to nyc in time for the next s&d night!!!
  9. i tried it once, got really clausterphobic and my partner couldn't stay up...
  10. worst: twilo in january, all the toilets were broken except for supposedly two which were filled with toilet paper and kaka. best: -home- in london
