  1. Yeah. Apotheosis O'Fortuna is sick. I also dug Something Good by Utah Saints. Got to love the Kate Bush dealyo. Man, that was a long time ago. During that period I became lost but now I am found. We Remain........United in Dance
  2. Yorkville, Upper East side...the area is really quite but its clean and I got my own digs, no more shitty roommates yea!!

  4. Yo Bolts, I am shouting at you from Miami! Centro Fly is better than Cheetah on Thursdays, if you like house music you may want to check Chaos on Houston St on Thursday night. Chaos gets some of the best looking women in the city. Thursday night is the NYC money night in the summertime because a lot of people go to the shore for the weekend. You should check out Lulu's parlor on Friday night before Sasha&Digs the dj is strong and the place has a roofdeck with no cover! Have an awesome visit! L8S

  6. Like it or not the NY viewpoint is that Twilo is the number one club because of the Dj's the venue attracts. The staff is responding to that hype. You have to pick and choose your nights. Dave Seaman, PVD, and Sven Vath are always good nights to go to Twilo. It is either a good packed house (PVD) or much less crowded with true fans of the dj's (Seaman and Sven). Fuck the other nights. I love Sasha & Digs but the place is just too damn crowded and expensive. I do not like hanging with people from all over the US who go to Twilo that night because it is the "In" thing. I will listen to Sasha & Digs at home instead. The jury is still out on the racial profiling, if it is true it is bull shit.
  7. Yo Saint, good to have a positive psycho back on the board. There are way to many fucking dicks on this board. Congrats on the DvD when is Porn night?
  8. I have to leave my shirt on because my nipples are so sensitive that I just might explode if someone grazes them. And besides, my body is so chiseled that I would get smothered by all kinds of women. Since I sweat through my mouth like a dog there is no wet body issue. Unfortunately, the dog breathe causes some problems
  9. My friends and I arrived at Exit at Midnight. There were Club Kids milling all over 56th street. I heard one say "I am not like you guys. I'm 18. I can get in". Others were extremely agitated that they had been refused entry. This was a groove pilgrimage so we were unaffected by all the hype. The pilgrimage was fulfilled but the scene made it difficult. We jumped in line. We got in about 10 minutes later. The crowd was young. I expected that. I, however, did not expect the overcrowding and humidity. Lets put this in perspective. I like a club with a crowd because it brings a ton of energy. I also like dancing until my shirt is soaked because it means the music moved me. But you must understand, it took approximately 20 minutes to get up the stairs from the first to the second floor. To make matters worse, my shirt and pants were completely soaked after being in the club for about 1/2 hour. I hadn't even danced a step at this point. This comes from a relatively dry guy unless he has been moving hard core for quite a while. As one can imagine, the overall mood was fairly tense at this point. The swinging glowsticks were the lone highlight at this point. Props to all the brothers who can make those things fly. One guy had red, white, and blue sticks attached to two separate tethers. Unbelievable. Rain closed the roof deck for the first half of the night. Maybe that is why the club was so initially overcrowded. A lot of people were tweaked out and laying all over the place. The atmosphere could not have been worse. My friends went down for the count. All three of them bolted around 2pm. I refused to let the sticky, crowded, high school scene banish me from my music. So I flew solo. The Dj's were strong with a couple surprises and one disappointment. Since I never got a flyer with the lineups listed I can't give a complete rundown on all the acts but overall the music was tight. Dave Ralph was deep but not innovative so therefore disappointing. Kevin Saunderson and Derrick Maye were on fire. They really got the place going. The drum & bass, although not my thing, tripped. The Trance/Prog. house room was jumping. Dj Teddy and Extreme really got people on their feet. I was impressed with their skills. George Acosta thumped (see below). Exit eventually opened the roof deck. It is definitely something to check out. Its got a South Beach feel. The fountain bar is beautiful. The outside temperature had dropped by this point so the deck was a nice refuge from the internal inferno. Dj Dave spun some nice funkalicious house. George Acosta was chillin at a table with his peeps. People were into it. I ended up hanging for a short time with a 17 year old kid from Suffolk county. It was his birthday. He invited me to smoke up with him. Since my degradation of minors only goes so far, I had to tell the Big Dog (his nickname) no thanks. I learned something from this interaction, "I would put this kid up against half the pretentious dicks I meet in the city, he was cool no matter what his age". So a big "Woof" goes out to my boy from out East. I was gliding through the main room when George Acosta took over the decks. Ok, let me mention that I own his "Awake" cd. It is, with no question, "Candy trance". I play it when I'm in the mood for that stuff because it is danceable. But understand this, the beats he spins live are much different than his studio shit. I mean, he was on. The sound was aggressive and in your face. The snow started to fall. The floor was ripping and moving as hard as it had all night. You can't underestimate this feat because it was 5:30am and much less crowded. I know Acosta has his critics but I could find little fault with his set. He was right up there with Saunderson/Maye as the best acts of the night. During the Acosta bombardment I danced with this pink/violet wigged girl named Lisa. Age unknown but definitely nice. She gave me a purple sparkly bracelet which I still wear. I love random acts of kindness. It helped ease the sting of riding with no posse. The clock struck seven. My knee was sore and I could barely move. I must have spent 100 bucks on drinks/water. I fled. It was an interesting evening. Electric Circus 2 was too young (lets face it,some teenagers are assholes, they do not want to hang with twentysomethings either), too crowded, and too hot. Thank God for the Music. 13. NoL... -nice association, Fun is an excellent venue. -gotta love the video feed in the bathroom -cool scene -=-=- Que thumps. Electric circus starts at 9pm but I will try to get the crew to start off at Fun. Have a good wkend bud!
  14. My number one is Gamemaster. That was the first song that got me into this whole sound. My old roommate had tables and spun it for me. It took me to a place I had never visited. Both mixes of that track are hot. -=-=- #2 is synthaesia by Thrillseekers. Insane. *** Another way, words, and the riddle rock by the trance prodigal son PVD.
  15. Amazon has a nice inventory. Virgin Mstore at Union square has an excellent collection. HMV has a nice collection as well. Some suggestions: 1) slipstream mixed by j. scott g. 2) In trance we trust 3, Lars Holte 3) Tranceport. Paul Oakenfold 4) Trance Nation 2, System F (Ferry Corsten) 5) any Sasha & Digs (communicate is nice) 6) Awake. George Acosta (miami trance) 7) GU 13, Ibiza, Sasha 8) GU 11, Budapest, Nick Warren ** The new PVD rocks, but that is a given. Good Luck!
  16. The new disc is strong. I am still getting immersed into the vibe. Alexandra has excllent taste in songs. She picked some goodies.
  17. Above average disc. Pretty thumping, song 8 and the last 2 bump. Not enough builds and flexibility to be a stellar buy!
  18. Screwdriver Tequila Sunrise Absolut & 7up (oh so refreshing) Mandarin & soda (ditto)
  19. Randy is funny! JoelS is more funny! The other experiences are crazy as shit! Its good to still have you all around! The World would be boring any other way! L8S
  20. Why? I have no F'in idea but I want to know. Mine. I took a 15mph hairpin turn at 70mph in my less than sporty Toyota Celica. Needless to say I completely lost control, skidded up someone's lawn, drove about 30 feet on two wheels hit a boulder and slid 150 feet. Amazingly enough the only thing that suffered was my pride and my insurance company. Not to mention my driving record.
  21. I was there! I was there! The entire thing was taped live for a web show on http://www.scifi.com *** I completely agree! He kicked the shit out of his performance at Roxy in March. I can not wait until Roseland. What an unexpected great time! -=-= Snog is da Man
  22. Awesome! Pox and Cmeth, always a couple laughs.
  23. Congratulations on the Dvd Player.....you fucking lucky son of a bitch... *** I have one question, when is.... Digital Porn Night at your Place?
  24. This is what is gonna happen! We are all going to be really old and past our primes at some wedding and we are going to be harrassing our second-cousins daughter's wedding dj to play some Underworld or Thrillseekers and people are gonna be really pissed. The Dj will play the stuff because he wouldn't want to get his assed beat by an over-the-hill raver. Some young "whippersnapper" is going to hear our music and wonder what the fuck it is and be really angry that the dj played what great uncle Jeffrey wanted. Then they are going to be shocked at how well the eighty year old geezer moves. My wife of fifty years is gonna break out the glow sticks and we are gonna groove. All will be scared for our health. But we will be happy. **** It is a vicous circle. I can barely handle my dad's music let alone my gramps tunes. -=-=- Or maybe I will be dead by then! Out in a blaze of glory :-)
