  1. The Great & Powerful Coz! Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. .................uh, I mean decks.
  2. I missed it as well. Thursday's are a tough clubbin' night for me. Sounds like I missed something special. Sucks. :blown:
  3. That scene in 25th Hour is excellent. I just watched a new to video Christian Bale flick called Equilibrium last night. The film got very little press or marketing clout but the final fight scene when he is wearing all white is sick, period! The storyline/movie style is pretty much a combo of Brave New World, Total Recall, and Matrix.
  4. Saeed & Palash -progressive The Timewriter -house Kimball Collins -trance Taylor - progressive Kasey Taylor -progressive Felix Da Housecat -electro Blank & Jones -trance *** Jaysea, if you are looking for any help on the promotional side, I would be interested in working with you at a fresh new club.
  5. Yeah, I was pretty banged out that night as well. I wouldn't have able to stand the heat otherwise. Underworld may have been the best show I have ever seen. Being an old dude like myself, that review is high praise. I will go to see them everytime they play wherever I am at. 1 down, Sasha & PVD to go......................woooohooo! JSB
  6. Underworld = Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  7. What's up C-corn? I didn't know you were so cultured. I guess you don't usually discuss that kinda stuff at Oakenfold in the Hamptons. I played Yeomen ? in my HS production of South Pacific. I like the play. On tap: Underworld Sasha PVD Oh Yeah!
  8. Nice meeting you at CPI. Too bad the place was so hot. I thought the music was solid, Liquid Todd and Jason Ojeda held their own against Oakey. Says a lot about them. See you one of these days at Vinyl "Arc". Jeff
  9. Thanks for the info Ronin. I have a pretty bad firewall issue here at work but I will try to grab it at Audiogalaxy. Sending files over IM has never worked for me. I will be hitting the line early........if I told you when, I would have to kill you.
  10. Right on, NYCCHIC! Way to set me straight, I guess I haven't done the huge, crazy club experience since Twilo closed. Vinyl, Centro-Fly, and S&D @ Cipriani don't count. I was more concerned about my friends who are less flexible with the crowd flexibility than I am. If you go tonight, have a kick-ass time. If I run into you, a free drink is on me! "I'll get plenty of sleep when I'm dead"
  11. Thanks for the info xcracker. I appreciate it. No fear or jealousy of the shirtless, I just feel that there is a better time to flex than at a club with thousands of people, like the post-club girl rub down. But I guess some people are here "To Pump..........you up" Signed, No Girly Man
  12. That set looks incredible. I would love to get a copy of the file. Where can I get it?
  13. Love PVD. Don't love meatheads and shirtless fucks. Tell me what I need to know about tomorrow so I have a good time regardless of the scene. I have never been to SF (nor ever wanted to go) Hopefully the music will guide me. I miss Twilo
  14. April 12th and 13th it is, as confirmed by the Delta Heavy web site. Exit appears to be the venue.........................for now. Check the link http://www.naughtybooth.com
  15. I haven't posted on this site for a long, long time but the first thing I did when I got into work this morning was log into cp. Deep Dish was incredible and the crowd was energetic but cordial. I showed up at 4am. The music hit my personal crescendo from like 5:30am to 7am. I didn't leaving until 8am. I am not happy that I missed The Wall remix. Cp meetup would have been interesting.
  16. Oops. I forgot to discribe the type of music she likes. Vocal House/Progressive house/Deep house.
  17. Help. A friend of mine wants a few recommendations and I like different music then she does. What does everyone think?
  18. Mine would depend upon my mood! -pissed off (like now)...Closer, NIN -amped but reflective........Flaming June, BT -Messed Up...........Gamemaster, Lost Tribe -Sad.................Oaks live from Havana! -running.............Anything by PVD! -Sex.................Xpander, Sasha -late night strut........Mara, Nick Warren
  19. I have got two sides: 1) I want to be a founder of my own company making muchos dolares that does not have to go public to succeed. Married to the most banging woman in the land (beauty, brains, creativity, and digs me) with an awesome house in the burbs and a sweet penthouse in the city. 2) Traveling the world with a backpack, a a flashlight, a wad of dough, music, a canteen, and a Knife for protection. Going where I want how I want when I want!
  20. I definitely get along much better now that I do not live with them. They are good people who have sacrificed a ton for me. They are older so they are a bit out of touch but I can talk to them better now than I ever have. I remember that I could not stand them in HS.
  21. I agree with you NL. I did not even remember that he played Zombie Nation. I was a bit roughed up that evening. I can't believe I did not remember that he played that song!
  22. Yeah. I think all you guys should remember that PVD is not only a DJ he is also a writer. Some other Dj's are also (Sasha, Digweed, Christoper Lawrence, Ferry Corsten (aka Gouryella)) but Pvd actually releases complete continuous albums with nothing but his own music mixed together. As far as I know he is one of the few who actually does that. So when you see him Dj he is also playing a concert so to speak. So he is gonna play a lot of his tunes and a lot of people are there specifically to hear them. Maybe he will get like U2 and David Bowie and retire all of his old stuff in the next couple years. Then everyone is gonna bitch on how he does not play Avenue, For an Angel, and Words anymore. I like him cuz I know what I am getting when I see him. A good fucking danceable Time!!
  23. I would say Progressive House. I love the trippy synth's and thumpin bass. It gets me jumpin. Some vocals are ok but it depends on the tune. I like to feel the bass as well as hear it.
  24. Zombie Nation?????? I would have fucking barfed if he had played that song. I have heard that song too much, AHHHHHH! I doubt the whole NY resident thing. I think he wants to concentrate on touring and producing now. The show blew up Eastern LI.
  25. Tavern was bangin Saturday night. We showed at about 11:45am and waited in line for about 1 minute. They appeared to be id'ing pretty hard. Nevertheless the crowd was pretty much mid-twenties on up. 3 bars made gettin drinks easy. The outside deck was the perfect escape. The ladies were lookin unbelievable with the backless style all over the place. The bathroom line was tough (girls and guys) but it made striking up a convo with that nugget across the way that much easier. The sound system was mediocre. Oaks was the best I have heard all year. I have seen him 4 times since March. He played mostly new stuff. He seemed to be having a kick ass time along with the crowd. All in all one felt as if in a Big Apple club (no NYPD or big club sound) out in the Hampton's. Not bad for the folks at Tavern!
