hey, i'm actually goin to UR right now...and i've lived here all my life but i go down to nyc about twice a month and toronto for the other 2 weekends. here, everyone's more into funky house..it's definitely a different scene than in nyc. i'd suggest: RED on thurs and sun, piranha MAYBE on fri and/or sat. Qbert is comin feb 24 to piranha, i think. if u have a car, then there's events goin on in buffalo alot too. yeah, makin the trip up to toronto is definitely worth it tho!

i finally convinced my friends to go to vinyl with me on saturday night b/c i've heard so much hype about it (especially on this board) and IT SUCKED!!! the music was terrible, the crowd was totally wack and the vibe was just not there. i even asked people that worked there if it was some special night but they said that it's always like that! damn~ i'm stickin w/ exit!

ok, i didn't mean to offend anyone, i'm assuming that i went on a bad night. i guess i like exit cuz all of my friends go there. i totally avoid the meatheads and the teeny-boppers and just chill. i plan to go to tunnel, twilo and centrofly so maybe i will change my mind...

yup yup...that's why people candy flip (drop E and acid at the same time) i've never done it but it's definitely on my list of things to try! it's supposed to be such a phat trip! but as usual, just be careful! =)

brandie - dang, your parents sound maad chill. my parents flip out when i'm not home b/4 4...i once came home at 9am and it got pretty ugly. and i used to be able to say that i was spendin the night at my friend's place and stay out all night, but my parents caught on so now i can't even do that anymore! i know my parents only have my best interests at heart and i am extremely grateful for all the sacrifices they've made in order to provide for me. they totally don't understand what it's like growin up in american b/c they were both raised in china. being an ABC (American Born Chinese) is hard enough (language and cultural barriers) but tryin to explain how it's really ok to go clubbin and stayin out. as far as drugs go, FORGET IT! my parents found out once that i smoked up and they flipped...so if they ever found out about the other things...well..let's just hope they never do! but i agree w/ blueangel and hope that my experiences will make me a much more open-minded mother...so that the relationship between me and my daughter/son will be more relaxed! max

does anyone else go thru the same struggle i do?? my parents and i always seem to have this battle about the things i do. they think i'm going thru this 'rebel' phase..they think i dress like a 'hooligan' and that i sell drugs!! my mom always turns off my music, complaining that the heavy bass gives her a headache. she thinks that dance clubs 'are the devils playground!'..and when i go out, it's always so scandalous. i wish they could understand why i love going dancing, being around people that are on the same wavelength as me and just forgetting about the chaos of reality for a couple hours...i wish they could at least try to understand..but instead, it's always a constant head-bashing. it's not like i'm a brainless drifter..i mean, i'm going to a good private university and studying for a BS in engineering...i get my shit done so i can party...*sighs*...will we ever see eye to eye??? does anyone else out there have the same problems??

i was at exit for electric circus 2 (despite the overcrowdedness and disgusting heat, i thought it was fun after the crowd cleared out a bit..ok, alot) and was rolling really hard. i was walking around and out of nowhere *BLECH*...yes, someone puked all over me. i couldn't believe it! the guy was 'nice enough' to try to wash it off...but that was just common curtesy right??? i didn't let that ruin my night so i just washed off and danced(and dropped) to forget!

'club government' is off the hook everytime i go. oh yeah, Groove Attack 2 is gonna be on sept 9 at niagara falls convention center...pretty hot dj line up...have fun!

thanks for the info. i agree w/ trancenergy...i think it's better to bring in my own shit that i know is pure rather than taking my chances w/ random people... frankie - i haven't heard of that new law...i'd expect the security to take your shit and/or throw you out..(please excuse my ignorance...i'm from up up upstate ny...our clubs are much different...but nyc's are by FAR the best!!!!)

(*please no mockin!!!!*) but i've always been curious as to how people bring in drugs into clubs.. security always pats people down at the door. i know some clubs have their own personal dealers. but i always manage to find so many people w/ all kinds of drugs...just curious!
